I may be clutching at straws here but why hasn't the Marshall signing been confirmed by the OS yes I know it is bloody slow to update, but is it possible we are waiting to confirm more signing's? Either way hurry the f**k up OS

It shows we were after Vardy, not after players

NP & Walsh will only sign players that are right, not just anyone... I listed the squad a few pages back & we're short in CM with King, Oakley & Moussa injured, but have plenty of players elsewhere

It's all about the RIGHT player not just ANY player.

God knows why you are even mentioning Oakley or Moussa, do you honestly see them as first team regulars just cause of injuries...really!!!

Nobody mentioned Oakley until he appeared on the coverage for Saints v Leicester on Sky.

But instead of players, a player then, it still shows we are after someone though, even though Stringer says no more ins.

Crossing wires is frustrating.

No, the first team squad has been made up of Wellens, Danns, King before he was injured and now Drinkwater. IMO opinion we need a CM, not sure if that will be a new first-teamer to repalce someone, or merely a squad player whilst Oakley & co are injured so that we have cover there should someone get injured/suspended.

Yes, if we're after Vardy because Walsh & NP believe Vardy can do a job for us then we should pursue him up to what we think he's worth, but Fleetwood aren't selling or he'd sooner join Southampton or someone then that in itself doesn't mean we should just sign someone else for the sake of it... It has to be players NP can believe will either do a better job then Nuge & Becks or someone who'll provide better cover than Howard, Fonz, Hopper... & Schlupp, Waggy & Vassell when fit. and that certainly doesn't mean anyone

I'll be very disappointed if a centre back doesn't leave and we don't sign another midfielder. It means we'll be stuck with Gallagher/Wellens for the rest of the season and have way too many centre backs on the books. Hardly sorting the balance of the squad out is it?

Why have we got too many centre backs ?? 4 is the normal required number if you intend to be successful. How often will all 4 be available ?? You'd expect at least one to be suspended or unfit so that only leaves two starters and one on the bench. Sounds about right to me.

Mills, SSL, Bamba, Morgan....Tunch, sadly, seems to be having fitness issues so can't be relied upon. Looks like the right balance to me.

Career

Jacobs affectionatly known as "Crackers" or "The Rothwell Ronaldo" played in three pre-season matches which included a man of the match performance against Stamford.[citation needed] The Northampton Town manager Stuart Gray gave him a squad number for the forthcoming season. Jacobs made his first professional start against Bournemouth in the Football League Trophy on 6 October. In February 2010, Jacobs went on a work experience loan to Southern Premier League side, Nuneaton Town.[1] Alex Dyer, a Northampton team-mate left at the end of the 2009–10 season with manager Ian Sampson stating the reasons for this was to give Jacobs a bigger role to play for the next season.[2] Jacobs scored his first goal on his first start for Northampton Town in a League Cup First round tie against Brighton & Hove Albion. On 22 September 2010, Jacobs scored in front of the Kop at Anfield to make it 2–1 in extra time as Northampton humiliated Liverpool by knocking them out of the League Cup.[3] [4][5]At the end of the 2010-11 season Jacobs was awarded with Northampton's player of the year award.

I'll text him and ask if anyone has bid, won't leave till the summer tho imo.

Cobblers are screwed without him!

Still no full confirmation on Marshall or anyone :( really disapointed

Morgan and Marshall are in, they both trained today and no doubt they will be on the bench tomorrow. Don't think we will sign any other players and I think the squad is fairly balanced. Pearson will bring in a loanee or two if we become short in areas.

Marvin Sordell withdrawn from Watford squad.

This is my number one dream signing, I would spaff my pants if he came, but yet again I doubt it.

Weird to see Sordell withdrawn, but Mariappa in the side, same with Snodgrass and Rodallega.

Financial fairplay has ruined deadline day

Last year, £235m spent in the window with £135m on deadline day alone...this year spending has only just broke through £40m barrier & that's through the whole of the window
