leicesterisme Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 I want Stevenage at home which will get us the best chance to get through, still won't be an easy game though. What we will get though is Birmingham or Brighton away!
Guest ttfn Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Any London side or Stevenage away or Stevenage or Crawley at home.
Guest ttfn Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Just not a team from our league. I'd settle for a team from our division at home. Just not a team from our league away or Bolton, Norwich or Stoke anywhere.
dannythefox Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Liverpool first choice. Spurs, Arsenal and I was hoping for Newcastle!
Ultra Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Anyone except Sunderland. I'd rather avoid MON in the rounds before Wembley.
Cropwellfox Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Away trip to a prem team where we could take 6000+ and sneak a result. Hillsborough would be good . Not poxy Norwich though,, Or any championship away tie for that matter.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Crawley at home or an away where we will get a massive allocation.
GBLCFC Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Either: Easy Home tie... or... Brilliant Away Day at Liverpool This ^
General Smuts Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 I wonder who Smuts wants Stevenage away naturally. Will be nowhere near as easy as you lot all think. Luke Freeman will muller Matt Mills and Pelts. And Bostwick'll have Wellens for dinner.
Christoph Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Liverpool away. A team that any team can beat on the day and anfield would be a nice day out.
allotment-fox Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Draw numbers number 16 v 4 will do nicely if only Carlsberg do football fa cup draws! 1 Brighton & Hove Albion 2 Sunderland or Middlesbrough 3 Millwall or Southampton 4 Crawley Town 5 Chelsea 6 Norwich City 7 Blackpool or Sheffield Wednesday 8 Arsenal or Aston Villa 9 Stevenage 10 Tottenham Hotspur 11 Liverpool 12 Stoke City 13 Everton 14 Bolton Wanderers 15 Birmingham City 16 Leicester City
Salieri Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 I can't for the life of me work out why anyone wouldn't want anything but the easiest draw possible at any stage of the competition? If you want your 'big day out' then you will get it eventually, preferably in the final.

If you're going to go out do it in style.
ScouseFox Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 I can see why people want a big day out, because, presumably at some stage we'll get someone half decent away (Norwich, West Brom, Birmingham, Bolton etc), not take that many fans, lose, and it'll be a completely forgettable cup run. Whereas if we took 6/7000 to, let's say Liverpool/Arsenal or somewhere similar and did ourselves proud or even got result, everyone there would remember it forever. I'd rather lose in a close game infront of a great away following at Anfield than beat Crawley at home to then lose to Norwich away in the next round. Obviously I'd rather win the whole thing, but that's an unlikely scenario. We'll see.

Yeah, so let's go out 'in style' as late in the competition as possible. There's still a fair few teams left in the hat that we should beat so let's draw one of them at this stage.
Jace Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Can't we have an easy team in the final too? We only just scraped past Tranmere Rovers
tyneside fox Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Bring on the Sunderland and Arsenal.... Bring on the SCOUSERS by the score..... Crawley Town or Stevenage....... Cos we believe in our Big NIDGE..... And they will never beat our LEICESTER any mOOOOOOOOOOOre .......

I wonder if thats what cardiff fans were saying a few years back, when the got to the final, or millwall fans who if i remember rightly, actually got to the final without playing anyone from the prem until they lost to man united, in the final itself.. This is the FA Cup, with a lucky draw, and maybe a bit of luck along the way who knows what might happen. Man united, Man City and Newcastle already out, Arsenal or Villa out tomorrow. Personally i`d happily take Crawley at home, and let spurs take on chelsea, and Arseanal/Villa take on Liverpool in the next round.

chili_con_carne Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 If we got Liverpool we would probs win! With danns, peltier, nugent being scousers. konchesky ex Liverpool and beckford ex everton!
Hollism Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Best case scenario for me would Stevenage at home or away. Crawley home or away would be nice too. Otherwise there's Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs or Liverpool away which would be a great day out. So that's almost 50/50 that we get a big club or someone in the leagues below us. Wembley isn't too unrealistic...
Tommeh Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Home and winnable please, we're 2 games from Wembley, 4 form Europe so you never know. Absolutely no reason why we can't reach semi's with a couple of decent draws. If a piss up is to occur Blackpool/Sheff Weds or Brum both away would be best, we'd take proper crowds to them.
Thracian Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Don't really give a toss. I'd like us to stay under the radar for a little while longer - a big name and even a big win might make us peak too soon. Our team still has some considerable improving to do even this season but, with several top teams already out, I'm beginning to think that we could yet end up capable of giving most anyone a fright.
Happy Fox Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Aston Villa away provided they beat Arsenal or Sheffield Wednesday at home for me.
