Smoked a pork shoulder the other day for 6 hours, tasted incredible. I'll post pictures later.

Out of interest, what do you smoke on?

I'm a big fan of BBQ cooking.

I'm a big fan of BBQ cooking.

Gas BBQ, had a aluminium tray of soaked wood chips over the burners and replaced them every now and then.

Building this in the summer though.

Nice. I've seen some great home-build smokers.

I've got a Kamado Joe - absolutely love it!

Cooked these on it for a group of friends on Tuesday. Smoked the pork shoulders at 110c over apple and beech for 10 hours and 3-2-1 babyback ribs.

Gonna make some chilli beef nachos for lunch. Got a ribeye steak for dinner, does anyone have any good recipes/ideas as I was just gonna have it with fries and onion rings but that's boring.

I always make a brandy and peppercorn sauce to go with mine, but you can't beat chips with steak.

Balsamic tomatoes and caramelised onions are always good on the side.

Dumplings with no suet.

Due to me and my dodgy back I was home alone while my family and 3 other families went to Castle Acre for a walk and a bite to eat at The Ostrich( your way sort of)Got the wife to get me some stewing steak and thought I would get the slow cooker out.Threw everything in carrots, potatoes, onions, leek, mixed herbs, garlic ,beef stock, white wine and bay leaves. Then I just raided cupboards Worcester sauce, mustard powder, salt pepper and a few chilli flakes.

I made DUMPlINGS WITH SUET.

Not bad, the kids and Mrs sampled a bit when they got home and gave it the thumbs up,however the dumplings WITH suet had disappeared and nothing was mentioned that they were even in there, making it healthy!

It was lush, might try with some curry paste as well another time.

Simple,quick and nice.

Doing a BBQ tomorrow.

Going to do rack of lamb with a yogurt and mint sauce. BBQ ribs. Honey and mustard chicken. A few variations on fillet mignon, coffee rub, dukkah and a garlic and butter. Plus a cabbage and apple Asian salad, vegetable kebabs (with mushrooms!!!), and pasta with a coriander pesto.

Sounds very delicious mate.

I'm gonna either cook something class or order a takeaway tonight as I'm not doing anything. Dunno what to do.
