Nothing to do with your cooking I hope?!

Fortunately not for everyone else's sake. I know there'll be leftovers so I will be able to have some eventually, but I've sharted twice in the last 12hours, so tucking into some spicy pulled pork is probably unwise.

Shameless putting this in here, but if anyone finds/sees a betting market for the winner / top 3 /whatever of the new celebrity masterchef, give us the heads up will you? Ta.

Todd Carty isn't going to win. That's the most help I can be. :)

Girlfriend wanted a Chinese the other week, not a big fan of Chinese take away so thought I would cook my own.

Was so much nicer and pretty simple.

Crispy duck pancakes followed by sweet and sour chicken, just Google a recipe and buy the ingredients, worked out so much cheaper and was much nicer and not full of salt or msg or any other crap.

Last night I made my own pasta from scratch. Home made carbonara sauce and home made garlic bread. It was really good.

Had loads of thick butchers bacon and diced chicken breast chucked in as well. Love it

and get this prepped for during the week:

I'll make a few adjustments to the ingredients, more omission or reduction in quantity, but both are a piece of piss to make, requiring very little effort. The return on this little time investment really does payback.

They both look good Spherical.

I'm making a chicken and bacon pie atm, added some smoked paprika to make it interesting.

Just tasted the beef before freezing. It's the bomb. Really nice sauce, that nice and not overspiced, though I'll use a little less salt/soy sauce.

Just about to apply the second rub to the pork, and then I'm making this salmon & broccoli cake for later in the week.

Anyone ever made a banana tarte tatin? I have left over puff pastry from my pie and the only fruit I have is bananas, might try n make a tarte tatin with them and a bit of brown sugar and cinnamon.

Salmon and Brocolli cake sounds a bit iffy lol.

Started making my own sushi this week, bit fiddly but a misspent youth means I'm quite good at rolling.

Has anyone done any molecular cooking?

I'm thinking of doing a white fish, on a slice of mango, with a ginger gel sheet, lemon foam and coriander sauce.

How hard is it to do a foam? What stabilising agent did you use?

The main will be a filet, on horseradish dauphinoise potatoes, with an asparagus cream, and a parmesan popover (yorkie).

Just cooked a quick stir fry with chicken breast, fresh noodles, some ready packed stir fry veg, shallots, garlic and soy sauce. While in the shop I impulse bought a Cadbury creme egg so I thought what the hell and dropped it into the wok, turned the heat down, let the creme egg melt and served that shit. Was delicious. I call it creme egg fried noodles with chicken.
