Corky Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Like Grayson? Yes. I can see him going on to bigger and better things, Leeds stuck in mid-table for a while and Steve Cotterill remaining at Forest for years
L4EV Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Wrong decision I feel, should have given him till the end of the season. Maybe a new manager will lift up the place though.
I am Rod Hull Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Yes. I can see him going on to bigger and better things, Leeds stuck in mid-table for a while and Steve Cotterill remaining at Forest for years Leeds Bates never deserved Grayson. Forest cant afford to sack Cotterill, so you could be right on that one. How about Gordon Strachan making a comeback?
21st Century Fox Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Di Matteo and Strachan are the favourites.
ousefox Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Absolute disgrace, all my mates are going mental. Ken Bates is actually the biggest tosser in the world, Grayson couldn't do much more with what he had at all. Oh well, couldn't happen to a nicer club... Only improvement would be Warnock but doubt he'll go.

When it comes down to it Ken "Bates" is the "master" of the lot !
z-layrex Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Grayson did ****ing everything for that club under the conditions.
Guest MattP Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Who sacks a manager just after the transfer window shuts?
Fox92 Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Feel for him. Limited money, best players being sold including his captain and a few points outside the play offs. Ridiculous decision. I still think Simon is a good manager.
Haydos Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Unlucky. Joke of a club. And that's coming from a Leicester fan.

StanSP Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Here's Bates' opinion on it: http://www.thesquareball.net/what-ken-said/2012/02/01/simon-grayson-sacked/
Alexikokopops Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Who sacks a manager just after the transfer window shuts? I know right I can only think he really didn't want any manager asking if there was any money to spend
StanSP Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 It's a clever move from Bates' point of view sacking him today. If he was sacked last month, it'd provide the avenue for players who liked Grayson to jump ship. Now that the transfer window has shut, those players are effectively forced to play til the end of the season. I reckon players like Snodgrass, McCormack and Becchio would have wanted to leave (just a hunch), if Grayson was sacked sometime in January.
Saxondale Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Bates is such a cretin. Not my words, the words of Martin O'Neill. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/blogs/mirror-football-blog/Martin-O-Neill-quits-Aston-Villa-His-maddest-moments-including-Brian-Clough-the-Yorkshire-Ripper-Nigel-Reo-Coker-Lee-Harvey-Oswald-James-Joyce-and-Ken-Bates-article548719.html
Fox in the North Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 I think next match we should offer our support to Leeds with a minutes laughter
ozleicester Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Here's Bates' opinion on it: http://www.thesquare...grayson-sacked/ Interesting read... wish i knew what was true. Either way, seems a stupid time to sack a manager, particualrly when your only just outside the playoffs
Soar Fox Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Interesting read... wish i knew what was true. Either way, seems a stupid time to sack a manager, particualrly when your only just outside the playoffs Tell that to our owners. Ala Sven
Guest MattP Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Tell that to our owners. Ala Sven Bit of difference in what they had to work with and what seasons expectations were.
z-layrex Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Apparently Shearer is interested in the job? This just gets worse and worse for Leeds fans.
Corky Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Apparently Shearer is interested in the job? This just gets worse and worse for Leeds fans. They'll be disappointed with that.
