AGemOfSorts Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 Hi Everyone! Just wanted to use this to see if any fellow Leicester/Midlands living Pompey fans were up for a little road trip, its seeming unlikely that people can get down for this Saturday to FP due to work/actual lives etc etc...but the next game (If the Trust are allowed to attempt a rescue) down in FP will be Saturday 1st Sept, i'm attempting to arrange a few supporters together if possible. In light of recent happenings, well, most of the last couple years really! I think it's more important than ever to pack the park and show our support...I'd also like to take a quick second to thank everyone who's voiced their support for us as it all helps, at the end of the day the fans cannot be blamed for what has basically been piss poor club money management and the continued reliance on people not fit to run a bath let alone a club in turmoil. If anyone is, or knows of, any Leicester living Pompey fans please direct them to twitter and @AGemOfSorts, Thanks again...xx
21st Century Fox Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Football League allow Portsmouth to begin on zero points. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19286219 Football League rules state that clubs who begin a season in administration start on -10 points. But Pompey will now be penalised as and when they exit administration. Seems slightly more sensible.
Super_horns Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Seems like they have been allowed to sign 10 players so presume Pompey aren't going bust...
21st Century Fox Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Seems like they have been allowed to sign 10 players so presume Pompey aren't going bust... They're on monthly contracts so it still looks pretty perilous.
Happy Fox Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 Out of the perils so it seems http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20338754
Voll Blau Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 Brilliant news that the fans will own the club. Shame it takes their club facing certain death for supporters in this country to rally round together and do something like that in this country though...
Happy Fox Posted 10 April 2013 Posted 10 April 2013 Portsmouth supporters trust now owns the whole club including the ground. http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Deal-Agreed-For-PST-To-Buy-Pompey-4299.aspx
purpleronnie Posted 10 April 2013 Posted 10 April 2013 Portsmouth supporters trust now owns the whole club including the ground. http://www.portsmout...ompey-4299.aspx Great news for them, I'm sure they;ll soon be working themselves back up the leagues. Although it may be from division 4.
Danizen Posted 10 April 2013 Posted 10 April 2013 I know someone who's put a couple of thousand into the supporter's trust (not to mention being a season ticket holder for 30 years) I rang him today and he sounded absolutely delighted. So happy for them (and him). It's not hard to imagine a scenario that would take us down that road...
purpleronnie Posted 10 April 2013 Posted 10 April 2013 Maybe coventry fans should be looking at what the portsmouth fans have achieved.
Aus Fox Posted 10 April 2013 Posted 10 April 2013 Maybe coventry fans should be looking at what the portsmouth fans have achieved. This implies Cov have supporters....
ScouseFox Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 5 years ago Portsmouth won the FA Cup. 4 and a half years ago Portsmouth were left "disappointed" as Ronaldinho and Inzaghi scored two late goals at Fratton Park to get AC Milan a draw in the Uefa Cup. They've just been relegated to the bottom division.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Hahaha So glad they're been relegated. Anyone who went to the 93 play off away game will always hate these *****
