maynefox Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Fantastic! Never stopped singing, everyone stood up and every sang (yes! even the two old women behind me were waving their scarfs and singing "we love you" at the end) Great away trip. The high risk theme was a bit of a farce, on the segregation where I was, there was like one officer for every 6 odd rows. Talking to a Norwich fan after the game he said that the main reason of the ticket allocation is that if we got full allocation the risk was that their could be trouble in the concourse of the stand, (not penned off like L1 for example). .... bollocks I murmured! Train journey was great aswell, was anyone on the train back from Peterborough when American Jesus came on with his bike? That passed the time!

Danny the Fox 95 Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Look on the Leicester City wiki page now! Someone has update it! Go to the subheading that says Stadia and then scroll down to the bottom of it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leicester_City_F.C.#Stadia
Voll Blau Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Bang on yesterday. Enjoyed us piping up with "We're the High Risk" when they were doing "We're the Barclay" "We're the Sankepit", followed by "You're the inbreds" when they didn't respond! Willing to admit I was wrong about WLY. We do actually do it quite well unlike most of the tinpot efforts at it in this country. At a good tempo and all the scarf swinging looks class. That said... - It does get a bit tedious when it's the only song people are up for starting off and there's a danger of it becoming a one-trick pony. - We've got a cracking old school songbook, need to make sure we don't neglect that.
davieG Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Quote from Vital Norwich forum There were 2400 Leicester fans there and considering they wanted 4000 tickets I`m glad they didn`t get them! They were a credit to their club, loud from start to finish and enjoyed their day out. It does show just how far we have come when a club as big as Leicester are coming to Carrow Road for an upset. Leicester played very well, were supported by an energetic and vocal crowd, and were good value for the win. Let`s wish them good luck in the Quarter-Finals and hope they make it to Wembley. It should have been us though… Read more: http://www.norwich.v...6#ixzz1mw7vrJ5V
cambridgefox Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 My poor shins are black from banging them on the seat in front, went with a few Norwich fans who said we were the loudest this season.oh my smug grin when we met up afterwards. My train back to Ely was full of Leicester and i think my home city station is a hub for changing trains, loved it when i jumped off and so did loads of Leicester fans singing.Great day. Oh and i lost my voice so i think i did my bit!
jonlcfc1990 Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Pearson: Fans A Credit To Our Club Posted on: Mon 20 Feb 2012 Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has paid a glowing tribute to the Club's supporters after an incredible showing in Saturday's FA Cup victory at Norwich City. A sell-out away allocation of 2,400 City fans saw goals from Sean St. Ledger and David Nugent book a sixth-round place at the expense of the Premier League Canaries at Carrow Road. And having been blown away by the support his side received throughout Saturday's 2-1 win, Pearson moved to praise the travelling Blue Army for their contribution to an excellent result. He told lcfc.com: "Our fans have been through a lot this season and perhaps not always been rewarded for their support with performances, but their loyalty and passion for their Club can never be questioned. They were absolutely incredible on Saturday. The Blue Army were on top form at Carrow Road. "The ticket situation at Norwich has been well-documented, but those that missed out on being at Carrow Road on Saturday should know that the fans that did manage to get tickets did them proud. What we didn't have in numbers they certainly made up for in noise. They were a credit to themselves and a credit to our Football Club." The City manager says his side now need to produce such displays more regularly, as they look to strengthen their bid to reach the Championship play-offs ahead of their sixth round meeting with either Chelsea or Birmingham City next month. Pearson added: "As a team, we know that we need to produce those types of performances on a more consistent basis and that has to be our aim now as we look to climb the league table. "Their loyalty and passion for their Club can never be questioned." - Nigel Pearson on the City fans. "There have been a number of false dawns for our supporters this season, but Saturday was a great day for the Club and hopefully we can use it to kick-start out league form because there is still plenty to play for this season. "Whatever happens, I'm sure we'll have our great supporters behind us."
Kitchandro Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Nigel will never admit it but he's getting caught up in cup fever too
Corky Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 We did ourselves proud, no nastiness, no aggression, good humour. Enjoyed it lots.

Raj Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Listened to it on RL. Massive respect to you all that went,it sounded awesome. Well Done.
Voll Blau Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Just recalled the two middle-aged women in front of me were stood right next to a steward and were sneakily passing a hip flask to each other druing the game. Forza Mentalita Leicester!
Raj Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Your support today was top draw, the best we've had here this season and probably longer. I think the club dropped a massive bollock with the ticket fiasco, possibly down to the act that with little over 20,000 season tickets, plus super members and members, we did use the incident in Leicester to our advantage, as Earl Hickey would say karma is a funny thing. Our fans never really got going, we are normally spot on and probably stunned that you never shut the hell up and gave us a chance. Mad support, be a lot of lozengers sold in Leicester tomorrow. Well done, good result, great support, deserve better than the championship if you carry on backing your team like that. THIS is how you should act after a defeat. Good on you!

LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 our high risk fans got no police escort in either so what is the real reason for giving us such a low allocation? IMO Norwich just wanted to give keep the seats for their own supporters, hate Norwich so much! After the game there wasn't that many police aswell, had to walk about 5 minutes to the busses

She is trying to cover up their stitching us up with the ticket allocation.
easilee Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 An unusually pleasant beginning to the moan in today. About 3 mins of chant clips from the match. You lot sounded awesome. More of the same please.
