Guest parky0607 Posted 21 February 2012 Posted 21 February 2012 i would fancy us to beat chelsea rather than brum. only problem being i fancy brum to beat them as well. so i can see a sat 3pm ko in birmingham. job done. This. Think we have better chance of beating Chelsea than Brum. What do people reckon are the chances of me getting a ticket for this game as a member?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 February 2012 Author Posted 21 February 2012 7k was allocated to us there last time.

Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 22 February 2012 Posted 22 February 2012 Don't understand the thought process behind people saying we have more chance of beating Chelsea than Birmingham. Yes Chelsea are woefully out of form and Birmingham are on fire at the moment, but look at the number of players that Chelsea posses that could rip us to pieces; Drogba,Torres, Lampard, Malouda, Sturridge, Merieles etc. When we played Brum away earlier in the season I wasn't too impressed with them. Yes they beat us 2-0 but the pen and the red card completely changed the game. Birmingham away, saturday 5.15 with 4,500 foxes fans roaring us to wembley sounds pretty good to me.
Kitchandro Posted 22 February 2012 Posted 22 February 2012 Look, when the replay is finished we will know. The team that we are not playing will be the easiest tie. So, suck it up, we're going to get the hardest draw.

Kitchandro Posted 22 February 2012 Posted 22 February 2012 that makes no sense whatsoever I should have said 'would have been the easiest tie'.
Guest MattP Posted 22 February 2012 Posted 22 February 2012 no i dont, Birmingham in the quarter final or Chelsea? no brainer for me. People seem to be being a bit silly here, a team who arent much difference to us or a team containing numerous internationals who despite losing dominated a lot of a game against a wonderful Napoli side. Anyone who wants Chelsea despite recent form is crackers.
adam1 Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 It wont be played on the sunday because villa are at home that day and we have a game on tuesday. With regards to saturday birmingham are free to play at home. If it is Chelsea then the Tottenham game is on the sunday and the fulham kickoff time will be moved so that one game will be early saturday and one game will be late saturday.

Them Chelsea players who could rip us apart are the ones who have ripped how may teams to part this season? And most probably would take Birmingham, but not on their current form. I think most people would prefer to play Chelsea since a defeat against a team in the same league as us would be more difficult to take. Thats certainly how I feel. Birmingham for a few years now have always been good at the back so we might struggle to break them down. Chelsea would be more open at home but we'd still need to be at our very best to beat them.
Ashley Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 RUMOUR has it, that either of these games could be on Sunday 4pm kick off OR Monday night 8pm kick off. Believe it, don't believe it. All I've been told
accessory Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 The ITV site has both Everton and Liverpool at home at 3pm on Saturday March 17. I rather suspect that at least one of those fixtures will be moved, if not both.

adam1 Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Well Brum v Chelsea is being shown on itv. Source
billyfox1 Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 ESPN showing one QF saturday lunch and one on Monday Night
adam1 Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 ESPN showing one QF saturday lunch and one on Monday Night Damn. Hope its not us. Source is here If our game is a monday - it would mean that we will have two games rearranged (Forest and Blackpool). I therefore hope it isn't us.
goose2010 Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 well ITV are showing Everton Vs Sunderland Saturday Lunch time and Liverpool Vs Stoke Sunday at 4pm so i guess we will be Saturday night about 5:20 (would be awesome) or Sunday lunch time OR at dreaded Monday night match.
accessory Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Fulham are at home on the Saturday, so our game at Chelsea wouldn't be on that day. Wolves are at home to Manyoo on the Sunday, so we probably couldn't play the brummies on that day..
Jiggers the Fox Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 So according to the posters link above, ESPN have a Sat lunch time and monday night KO. So i guess we'll be monday night if Chelsea because of the Fulham clash?
Bert Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 With us playing Tuesday after this could be our saving grace.
dannythefox Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Just checked trains from Retford it's a nice 2:45 ride to King Cross! And a nice £50 price tag! But I will still be there if it happens, Come on the foxes!
Jay Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Just checked trains from Retford it's a nice 2:45 ride to King Cross! And a nice £50 price tag! But I will still be there if it happens, Come on the foxes! if you go to East Coast you can book it for £36 rtn if thats any help? the outbound is currently only £15 single. As I'm on the train from grantham I'm actually of thinking of taking a risk and booking the outbound now to get it much cheaper than leaving it till the last minute, as we really only have one choice of trains and book return journey later you have more choice of trains to get a cheaper price.
