The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Apparently it'd be highly likely to be played on the Sunday or Monday due to Chelsea's chimps league game the Wednesday before (assuming its their second leg v Napoli). Currently, they have a game scheduled on that Monday at home to Man City... Read into it what you want, but you know that the Chimps league game will not get moved for the FA Cup!
Leicester Lass Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Arsenal played Champions League on Wednesday and their FA Cup match against Sunderland on Saturday evening.

People are saying it will be moved to sunday but I thought you only play on Sunday if you play on Thursday (Europa League) not if you play on a tuesday or wednesday due to the Champions League
lestajigs Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Fulham are at home on the Saturday, so it's very likely it'll be Sunday,
The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 February 2012 Author Posted 20 February 2012 So bar Sky, why has the Chelsea Man City game been scheduled for the Monday?
Matt Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Saturday > Sunday > Monday. TBH though think i'll be going whatever. Infact a Monday night wouldn't be too bad I suppose, was quite an atmospheric game in the Carling Cup (A midweek game) a few years ago - Probably the best away game i've ever ever too, despite losing they did us proud, without doubt it was the best game/highlight of that season.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 February 2012 Author Posted 20 February 2012 I'm praying for sunday! If its not on the Saturday it rules out a decent sesh anyway really. I happen to think providing AVB stays until that weekend, I'd fancy us to sneak a win. Can't say the same about Brum. We're a known quantity to them. Having said that, their winning run will have to come to an end soon.
lestajigs Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 We will sell out no matter when, or what team we play

Can we get Cort back, just for one game? I'll go regardless. I'd actually prefer a Sunday or Monday to rule out a big session and keep the missis off my back about our bank balance
acooling08 Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Oi Stu you've robbed my avatar. Karmas a bitch I guess, right after I'd stolen WFTBBQ's churchill avatar this happens!
Raj Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Fcuk this i'm more concerned that the SEMI final is on the Sunday(as i'll be in Majorca til Sat night!) I've already presumed we will be in the Semis.
Simmo86 Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Haven't Chelsea already played Man City at home this season?
jonthefox Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 We will sell out no matter when, or what team we play unless its derby on a thursday. Im away the weekend of 17/18th, so a monday game will do me.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 February 2012 Author Posted 20 February 2012 http://www.skysports...3484834,00.html dunno if this means its televised or what edit- it is. SS1 My point being that it could well be the only reason that its on the Monday is due to it being televised
Fox92 Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Both Liverpool and Everton (Merseyside) are set to be at home and potentially are Spurs and Chelsea (London). Also, we are playing Birmingham on the 13th March and if they beat Chelsea we will play them on the Saturday, that's twice within a week, just like on Football Manager.
teblin Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 http://www.skysports...3484834,00.html dunno if this means its televised or what edit- it is. SS1 My point being that it could well be the only reason that its on the Monday is due to it being televised They will all be on tv as I think 4 get televised and itv get 1st choice. I may be wrong.
Fox92 Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 edit- it is. SS1 My point being that it could well be the only reason that its on the Monday is due to it being televised Sky Sports haven't got FA Cup though (have they?), so surely the Monday game on Sky doesn't matter because if Chelsea do beat Birmingham then the Manchester City game will be called off and ITV get to then choose
ScouseFox Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Am I missing something or is that Monday fixture not just Chelsea's weekend fixture, so it won't happen? Much like our game vs Forest etc. Ye, wot Fox92 said.
tommypello Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 I'm at twickenham for England Ireland Saturday, so praying it's Chelsea on Sunday as I'm stopping in London Saturday night
mattsmith74 Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Blimey guys some people not seeing the wood for the trees here. 1. Chelsea game v Man City is on Sky on Monday as Sky are moving some big games back to Mondays to give it a bit more glamour like it used to have. 2. It is their weekend game and should they beat Brum will be postponed. 3. And anyway Sky don't have rights to show FA Cup games, just ITV and ESPN which are essentially one and the same thing anyway. 4. All QF games will be televised somewhere between Sat lunch time and Sunday tea time. Hope that helps.

Is having to work with Andy Townsend as unbearable as it seems? BTW I think you need to have a word with the editors, not one shot of the Leicester fans on your show last night.
StanSP Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 What are the chances that games will be played Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday? One game each day. I know they did this for the 3rd round (Liverpool vs Oldham on the Friday; Arsenal vs Leeds on the Monday), but there was more selection for games then.

Of sentences.
