Out Foxed Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Do not shoot me down please as I have not been on here for a long time but in reply to this topic.... My mum works for the club (player security or some bull position), after the real Madrid game I went out with her and her colleagues. Her boss who you will see stood next to the tunnel in a orange and blue coat every time were at home on sky told me some interesting stuff. He had a beer or two yes but told me this stuff in 'secret' : 1) LCFC have/are purchasing the Holiday Inn extra and it will become the clubs official hotel. 2) If we get promoted then we would be extending the east stand and the capacity would become 42,500 - 45,000.apparently planning is already approved for this. 3) LCFC are/have plans to build a 20, 000 seater music venue on the site of the electricity plant opposite the KP. Designs have been drawn up that the plant would be situated underground and the stadium on top. This is due to the KP not having the correct structural Blah Blah Blah to host music concerts. 4) as we all know other than the 2 Thai guys there are 4 other owners of Asia football investments who own LCFC (king power do not own the club although most fans think they do as do the media). The main funding behind the club is not the 2 Thaïs but a Malaysian guy (name begins with a b (bhakiou or something) ) who is 'apparently in the top 10 richest people on the planet. don't shoot the messenger! very interesting
Foxhateram Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 http://www.theriches...rich-list-2011/ no Malaysians in top 10.
dobbylcfc Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 http://www.therichest.org/nation/sunday-times-rich-list-2011/ To be fair no body's in 10th position
StanSP Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 How can you ask if someone knows something similar if you won't tell us what the big news is ?! I reckon it's just a signing. Hi all, Only on here after being texted by a fellow fox-talker on whether I know what this apparent 'big' new is. The only big news from what I've heard is that the owners are keen for a potential investor to give them a helping hand + minor boardroom changes. Not giving out who told me this for obvious reasons. Source: My Father a box-holder, part of consortium that saved the club, and from this, knows many 'top' people from the previous boards. Oh, my date went according to plan. Went San Carlo. YOU'RE BACK!! Welcome! How long were you in San Carlo for?
Guesty Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Ignore this I have manflu and was being dense.
THEFATBASTARD Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 pukka are putting real meat in the pies at the kiosk's.
EnderbyFox Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 The only reason we havn't seen the Falcon in a while is because it has been sent to other stadiums to locate potential summer signings. That's got to be it! Other than that.. Malaysia's richest http://www.forbes.com/2011/03/01/malaysia-richest-billionaires-kuok-lists-malaysia-billionaires-11_rank.html
Kitchandro Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 I would hope the stadium wouldn't be extended to 45K, it's too big. Just over 40K should be the maximum. And if they make a colossal fvck up of it and it ends up looking like the KC or Pride Park I'm not sure I could forgive them.

Is this him?
EnderbyFox Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Let's hope the guy above was relating to (Ro)'Bert Kuok'! And he has been posting on these forums under the Alias "Bert" It all makes sense now!!!
jamesmilner Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 the said malaysian i think owns quarries . he is a billionaire but likes to put most of his money into polo not football . he is here already .the music arena talk has been around for ages over a year at least .holiday inn is new news but not exciting .the ground was built with plans for extention so old news and an obvious choice .
MrAus Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 There are plans for a stadium extension that have already been approved. Thought everyone knew this already!
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 He is keeping surprisingly quiet. He said "its not bad news" but when I asked if it was good, he said he's not saying anymore He's pulling your pi55er...
Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Let's hope the guy above was relating to (Ro)'Bert Kuok'! Not now Cato!
Jace Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 There are plans for a stadium extension that have already been approved. Thought everyone knew this already! When you say approved do you mean planning permission has been granted? I've kept a very close eye on this for years and was unaware of any new developments?
bluesbrothers Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 They are moving the stadium to Bangkok and all home games will be played there. Free ladyboys for the opposition the night before the match. Hence the Real Madrid link - we're signing Ronaldo?
Kitchandro Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 There are plans for a stadium extension that have already been approved. Thought everyone knew this already! Got any details?

The hotel would make sense. Its a good idea. Planning permission hasn't been granted. Planning permission requires an application and a public consultation. The public consultation is public. The mercury would have made it front page news.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Just like going to a pub pre match back in the day, always someone who knew something about nothing but was sworn to secrecy !
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 23 February 2012 Posted 23 February 2012 Ground extension Pearson out Administration Bernie off to support Cov. Pearson out would do me. Not really big news though. Are the Thais going to pull out? Maybe, just maybe. Probably nothing.
