LcFc_Smiv Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Sorry if there has already been a topic made on this, I have searched through the forum and can't find anything too similar. So my question is, what songs would you have on a football playlist? Me and my mate were having this discussion the other day and thinking about what songs really get us pumped up for a Saturday afternoon or a Tuesday night. I'm not talking about the music that's played pre-match in the stadium although Republica-Ready to go and Robbie Williams-Let me entertain you would probably be two of my choices, but songs you hear on TV being played over goals or the album you have on in the car on the way to a match. A few songs we came up with were: -The Enemy- You're Not Alone -Embrace- Celebrate -Kasabian- Club foot -Travis- Turn -Blur- Song 2 and for old times sake the great escape theme tune!
EnderbyFox Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Purely because of this.... lol at Megson 0:45
GoddyFox Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 There are mostly chants at the beggining but oh well...
Fox92 Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 When I first ever learnt how to burn a disc on PC, I made myself a football CD. Included Marchin' On Together, Whole World In Our Hands, Blowing Bubbles, Steve Bloomers watchin', Simply The Best, You'll Never Walk Alone, Carneval de Paris, Blue Is The Colour, Blue Day, Liquildator, Glad All Over, Post Horn Gallop etc Pretty good actually. Might make a new one. I love proper football songs and always will.
foxfanazer Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Oasis- supersonic, kasabian- club foot, verve- bittersweet symphony Oasis- supersonic, kasabian- club foot, verve- bittersweet symphony
ElbertTheFox Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 the jam - a town called malice the enemy - be somebody keane - crystal ball tokyo police club - favourite colour oasis - some might say u2 - beautiful day ones that stick out for me
DJMadness29 Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Three Lions Three Lions 98 John Barnes Rapping... and whilst looking for these i found this 'beauty' from (apparently) 2010
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 So... all the music that ITV regularly trots out for their football shows. BBC do background music so much better. For starters, with the exception of the theme tunes, they don't repeatedly use the same old standbys time and time and time and time again.
Webbo Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 The BBC played this after England had got knocked out of Euro 96 ,I think.Always stuck with me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTq7Ni9-XZg&feature=related
foxfanazer Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Oasis- supersonic, kasabian- club foot, verve- bittersweet symphony Oasis- supersonic, kasabian- club foot, verve- bittersweet symphony Oh and The jam- going underground, the libertines- what a waster, razorlight- somewhere else
Amin Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 This video and song takes me right back to when I first fell in love with football.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 26 February 2012 Author Posted 26 February 2012 Just remembered this cracker, was only a young lad for the 98 World Cup, I used to restart the game over and over again just to listen to the song!
pSinatra Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 The only football related track I have ever genuinely liked............& Mark E Smith reading the football results!!?
Finnegan Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 If only we could teach the ****ing Soul Crew the words so they can stop "der der der"-ing along.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 Kasabian, Arctic monkeys, hard-fi, The enemy, the jam and oasis can't really go wrong with those choices. On this note did anyone go to Rotherham and hear their pre match playlist? Instead of all this modern rubbish they where playing some absolute tunes! All the bands mentioned got a play even some Hendrix made the game 100x better
Alf Bentley Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Liverpool haters probably won't appreciate this one, but you don't have to be a Scouser to love this, surely? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SbnsgRaiZ0
