sharpie Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 In december i started a topic 'Matt Mills distribution' a few agreed with me most said i did not have a clue about football, obviously never played, defenders dont need to pass it blah blah blah do these people think Mills has been hard done by and still rate him or have they changed there mind? Also i cant find the post anymore for some reason its been removed
ScouseFox Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 He's still a solid defender. On current form he's our 3rd choice. Let's be honest, if you think Pearson wants him out for footballing ability reasons alone, you're a little bit silly.
Kitchandro Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I'd have him 4th choice behind Bamba too. I've never really liked his arrogance.
ScouseFox Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I'd have him 4th choice behind Bamba too. I've never really liked his arrogance. Oh aye, forgot Bamba even existed!
nickelbyfox Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I still think he's decent Still thinks hes good, far better than Morgan, and we still have bamba!
Fox92 Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I still think he is decent. I'd rather have St Ledger and Morgan, but, Mills isn't the worst player to have as back up. I just worry about, what seems to be, arrogance and he never looks happy! But if he has showed a lack of respect for our manager, then I don't care if he is sold.
Libertine Dream Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I was a fan and haven't changed my views on people's arguments, but if he's fell out with the boss, thrown his toys out or done ,other, much worse things then he has to go.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Im not a lover of him but would have him over Bamba, Bamba is too risky for my liking, Mills hoofs the ball but at least he gets it away. Still thinks hes good, far better than Morgan, and we still have bamba! Morgan is better than Mills IMO, Morgan is a complete rock, always normally wins headers, in his games I have rarely seen him give the ball away
norwegianfox Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I still think Mills is a good defender. If he leaves it will not be just because of his footballing abilities. Major bust-up with NFP must be the main reason.
Lambert09 Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I personally think he has been okay and most Leicester fans are harsh critics. I do agree he is 3rd or possibly even 4th choice atm though. I think the correct way to deal with this situation would have been to take the arm band off him and let him fight his way back into the team with that pressure off him. I will stand alone and wish him the best if he leaves, as I think the main reason he hasnt been as great as we hoped for is the unnecessary abuse he has received from the fans rather than backing him. One more player that the fans have pushed out ....
thybluefox Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 My opinion hasn't changed, I still think he's a good championship CB.
Jace Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Still thinks hes good, far better than Morgan, and we still have bamba! In a few weeks when Morgan has a few bad performances and Leeds turn unbeatable under Warnock and Mills it will all turn around!
gloriousglenn Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 You don't just get rid of your club captain like that! No, he's not the best passer. Yes, he might have a bit of a discipline problem. Yes, he's probably 3rd or 4th choice centre back. Has he gone because he's unwilling to fight for his place? I doubt it.
sharpie Posted 27 February 2012 Author Posted 27 February 2012 Well what has happened has just confirmed what i thought from the start after i had seen mills play a few games, he has had a awful time here, I think he was originaly dropped against norwich because of form then went mardy and was left out because of that, so pearson did leave him out because of his ability or lack of it.
Out Foxed Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 should never have been installed as captain. i feel that one decision is responsible for all the ****ery that has followed.
Larry_LCFC Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I always liked everything about him bar his attitude. I think it stinks. He is too far up his own arse and doesnt like people telling him he isnt good enough. He should have done what St Ledger did - keep your head down and damn well prove why you deserve your place. I think hes a tit now to be honest.
DanTheFox07 Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Still thinks hes good, far better than Morgan, and we still have bamba! agree with this, morgan has no pace! will get found out soon enough!
Lambert09 Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Mills was captain before Sven even heard the guys voice.... a high price doesnt = a good captain
Tielemans63 Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I certainly hope be stays. For all the stick he's had, he has put in some terrific performanes here and there. I guess it all depends on what really happened between him and NP.
Corky Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 If what we hear is true then I don't think he's hard done by. I do think he's a decent player who would still be very useful in the squad, but he's not, so we have to get on with it.
