21st Century Fox Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 Just saw this on the Guardian's Fiver.... "We have to go to [Roma's Olimpico] knowing that we will face a team that has shiny teeth. We must be the ones with no teeth, no hair and no face battling as miners" – Chievo coach Giuseppe Sannino's battle cry before his bottom-placed club's trip to league-leaders Rome, must rank among the weirdest.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 Roma are having a terrible start to the season, aren't they? Mind-blowing defensive record.
21st Century Fox Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 And they were without Gervinho and Totti. I wonder who'll try to poach Rudi Garcia next season.
Soar Fox Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 You don't become the best player in the world by letting someone else take your penalties. Yeah but penalties don't count.....
Dan Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 And they were without Gervinho and Totti. I wonder who'll try to poach Rudi Garcia next season. Chelsea who'll sack him if he hasn't won the 'Champions' League by January.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 Roma are having a terrible start to the season, aren't they? Mind-blowing defensive record. It's a shame that unfortunately, because of past misdemeanors, it's hard to look at any great achievement in Italian football these days without a tinge of suspicion.
Stadt Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 Chelsea who'll sack him if he hasn't won the 'Champions' League by January.Dan, why do you refer to the champions league as the 'champions' league?Am I missing something obvious ?
Jimothy Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 Dan, why do you refer to the champions league as the 'champions' league? Am I missing something obvious ? Vast majority of the teams in it aren't Champions of anything.
Stadt Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 Vast majority of the teams in it aren't Champions of anything.Fair enough
I am Rod Hull Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Tight or what... http://uk.soccerway.com/national/netherlands/eredivisie/20132014/regular-season/r21384/
The Blur Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Tight or what... http://uk.soccerway.com/national/netherlands/eredivisie/20132014/regular-season/r21384/ Bad for betting!
Dan Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 Dan, why do you refer to the champions league as the 'champions' league? Am I missing something obvious ? It's very petty. Been answered though. The naming of it makes no sense in the slightest to me. I see Roma's run is over then.
frotto Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 Roma have impressive start but will not stay there.
MC Prussian Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Oh, I didn't know that Nice had changed their crest a few months ago: Reminds me of Manchester City's, for some strange reason.
Stadt Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 Oh, I didn't know that Nice had changed their crest a few months ago: Reminds me of Manchester City's, for some strange reason. Quite nice
chrishlcfc Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Roma only drew at home to Sassuolo today, maybe this will be the start of there bad run.
purpleronnie Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Dutch league produced loads of goals again, averaged around 4 goals per game.
chrishlcfc Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Paul Pogba http://footballfunnys.lockerdome.com/articles/110352186
StanSP Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Very nice, that, by Pogba. Reminds me of Henry vs Utd where he flicks it up with his right foot and powers it in over Barthez with that same foot. Great technique. So much space though!
Jimothy Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Very nice, that, by Pogba. Reminds me of Henry vs Utd where he flicks it up with his right foot and powers it in over Barthez with that same foot. Great technique. So much space though! Henry's was much better because it's all in one movement. He spins and volleys it before it's started to drop, with a defender close up behind him. Pogba's reminds me more of one Adebayor scored against Spurs a few years ago. Pogba has so much time it's ridiculous. To let the ball go a good 2 feet above a players head and not make a challenge is pathetic. Pogba possibly Fergie's biggest mistake?
chrishlcfc Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Pogba possibly Fergie's biggest mistake? Definately he looks absolutely class and i think he would make man utd a lot times better team than they are now because united's midfield isn't really up to much i don't think.

Not signing Shearer or Gascoigne were his biggest mistakes. Yanited landed Pogba in dubious circumstances anyway, hilarious to see him poached from under their noses and doing so well at Juventus.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 November 2013 Posted 11 November 2013 And Pirlo's effort wasn't a tap-in, either:
