Guest Bilo Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 I think it's hard to look outstanding in a team where the gameplan is built around Ronaldo shooting from anywhere. OK I'm exaggerating but they do it so much that it's laughable. If Ronaldo could be more of a team player they would be an incredible side going forward. Unfortunately, Ronaldo's ego prevents him from being a team player. That to me is what separates a truly incredible player in Messi and an excellent one in Ronaldo.
Stadt Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Ibra and Ronaldo both have big egos but look at the difference in how they show it.
Finnegan Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Ibra is probably the most entertaining personality in the sport. Rolando is just a poof.

bovril Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Mental match in Turin, Torino 2-0 up on Milan after 87 minutes. AC then score two controversial goals to draw the match. Cue bedlam in the stadium and a referee now in hiding....

bovril Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Match fixing? That was my first thought! But they left it pretty late if it was. The first goal was a very bizarre long range effort with Balotelli standing right in front of the keeper, I guess they thought he wasn't interfering. Second goal was a penalty, there was a bit of contact but the Milan player made a meal of it. If you're going to fix a match there are probably easier ways.

Ronaldo just shoots on sight... yes Ronaldo is exceptional but he wants everything to be about him.
Samilktray Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Ronaldo is that selfish, he pays his taxes.
purpleronnie Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Ronaldo is that selfish, he pays his taxes. Still hurts being second best doesn't it.
purpleronnie Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 AC Milan's Kaka 'asks not to be paid' while injured AC Milan midfielder Kaka has asked to go without pay as he recovers from a thigh injury picked up in his first game since rejoining the Italian side. The Brazil international, 31, was substituted in the 70th minute of the Rossoneri's 2-2 draw at Torino. He returned to Milan on a free earlier this month after leaving for Real Madrid for a world-record £56m in 2009. "I don't want anything from Milan, except for love and support, until I'm fully fit and ready to play," he said. "For this reason I have decided to suspend my current pay for this period of time. The only thing I ask is for the support and help to recover properly. "It is a difficult moment but I have started to work on getting better and I hope to get back as quickly as possible." Kaka added he had spoken "at length" with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and club doctors before deciding to ask not to be paid. It is not clear whether Milan have accepted the player's offer. Kaka, the 2007 World Player of the Year, made 268 appearances for Milan between 2003 and 2009, scoring 95 goals. He helped them win the Serie A title in 2004 and the 2007 Champions League. In 2010, Milan defender Oguchi Onyewu agreed a new one-year deal for no salary after he had spent a year on the sidelines. In 2004-05, Roma and Italy midfielder Damiano Tommasi played for £1,200 a month while recovering from a serious knee injury.
Dan Posted 17 September 2013 Posted 17 September 2013 Ibra and Ronaldo both have big egos but look at the difference in how they show it. Ibrahimovic is a massive team player, gets so many assists for a forward. Phenomenal talent and one of my favourite players on earth, there's no-one I can compare him to

Easy way of boosting his reputation as he doesn't exactly need the money, but a good gesture nontheless. Always really liked Kaka.
Stadt Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 How the fûck did Montpellier win the title a few years ago?
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Swansea City name a majority-Spanish side for their game in Spain.
Fox in the North Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 How the fûck did Montpellier win the title a few years ago? With good players that they subsequently sold on the following season
Harry - LCFC Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Swansea winning against fvcking Valencia. Can you imagine standing up there in the away end watching Leicester beating, and indeed outplaying, massive clubs like Valencia?! And we're bigger than Swansea too! This is a genuine possibility for us! Nigel, get my club into the Europa League so we can start thrashing Athletico and Lyon and all that lot. Make it happen!
Tom17LCFC Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 lol Valencia fans behind one of the goals staying in the concourse for the first 15 mins of 2nd half in protest, and just as they file back into the stand Michu scores right in front of them haha incredible. EDIT: 3-0, 2 goals in 3 minutes since they returned haha brilliant. Cracking goal as well tbf.

In fairness, Swansea are the model to be followed by all promoted clubs. Spend sensibly, play good football, buy players who are hungry and have a point to prove and entertain the fans.
Tielemans63 Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Wow. Cant believe that scoreline. That's a real triumph for Spanish football over Spanish football.
