consistency?? Yes, lets look where that has got us. The worst player for us this season, gallagher, has been one of our main performers, thas has worked out so well ;).

We need a shake up. not a sven style shake up either.

a warning we are going to go bankrupt..

these suggested player would/wouldve cost less, in transfer fees and on the wage budget. lets face it Sven has ****ed this all up, he brought in dog shite.

New season, new start.. Sounds all so familiar

We will get there. If I believed in a God I'd be praying to him that our owners keep Pearson. It's that stability that will allow our funds and quality to show. If we continue to chop and change as and when something disappointing comes about, I can assure you that we will get nowhere. Look at Chris Powell at Charlton. I'm pretty sure he went through a patch of over 10 games when he couldn't buy a win. Now look at them. They're bossing it.

Next year, if we keep him, will be our first full season with Pearson with money. Marshall and Drinkwater have shown glimpses. Hopefully we will see that quality on a more regular basis next season. Remember they are young players.

As for this season, it would appear to be over. A win tonight and anything could have happened. Similar to last season, we've left it too late. We have the base of a very good team. Kasper, Danns, Nugent, and Beckford have all been playing very well of late. With more consistency from our younger players, and a few solid additions which I'm sure will come, next year can be a successful one.

I am hurt as much as anyone else here but keep a level head. Are you a man or a man...daric? Keep your toys in the pram because the solution is NOT to get rid of the manager. To even talk about it is a farce.

Also bear in mind that I had a £25 free bet on Liverpool, Cardiff, and Leicester for a £208 return, which was on with 10 minutes play. Yet I still keep a rational head. There is a reason I use this forum sparingly these days. For all of our frustrating results it doesn't come close to reading the drivel on here.

Keep -

Kasper

bamba, konch, St ledger, morgan

danns, marshall, dyer, drinks,

Becks , Nugget, Schlupp

We build from here, I know Nige doesnt have the balls to do this, and Sven tried and failed, but we should spend money, and spend it effectiveley.

Newcomers

Ben Amos - loan and cover for Kasper

Gunter - Better than Pelts, and when they had umbrella man i reckon we could have got him for the same price

god knows what Center Backs we could get, not a lot of decent and realistic ones available.

Koren - even just one season with this guy could get us promoted, one of the best technically gifted midfielders in this league

Trotter - looks like a tank, plays like a tank, much needed cover for our back 4.

David Perkins - never stops running, always 100% committed, and a very tidy footballer, impressed me twice versus colchester and twice against barnsley, a very good prospect.

Lee Martin - very tricky and skillful winger, not as pacy as dyer but would certainly be our most skillfil player.

Jay Emannuel Thomas - Another big lad who will bolster our midfield, great all rounf player, can do everything.

Paul Anderson - remember the player he has been against us? Once fully fit and playing he will again be one of the trickiest player in this league to handle.

George Boyd - with better players around him, this guy could be a gem. Often gets marked out of games while playing for Boro, but playing in a team with better players , may give him more time to work his magic.

Marko Futacs - 22 years of age, 6 ft 5, he will be a premier league target man one day, a couple of my Portsmouth mates have said he reminds them of Kanu, when at his peak. Also extremeley mobile to his size, and plays similar (obviously not as good) to Ibrahimovic.

Craig Davies - Without Sven in charger we possible could have got this guy. has everything, pace, power, strength, target man, and most importantly a goal score.

Emile Sinclair - A very similar presence to davies, but has less ability in the goalscoring department, but does cause more problems.

Had we been going into this season with...

Kasper

Amos

St Ledger

Gunter

Morgan

Konch

Bamba

Taft

(one more CB option)

Danns

drinky

Trotter

Koren

Perkins

Martin

Boyd

Anderson

Emmanuel Thomas

Futacs

Davies

Beckford

Nugent

I dare say we would be much better off than we are now, we wouldnt have to play 4-4-2 every week, and we would have the required player to have a plan a,b and c. Nigel, favouritism will get you the sack. Change is needed, failure to recognise this, will likel lead to a failure to keep your job. In NP I trust but my patience is wearing thin.

What a bunch of rubbish signings these would be.

Quality please, not big units, scrappers from midtable teams and players over 30.

Where's the pace? Where's the creativity? Where's the game changers? Where's the players who will make a position their own?

The player who is the most diverse in the league....maybe....he can play every position apart from GK, something we dont have in our squad is players who have the knowledge to play different positions, this lad certainly does.

So what if he can play in loads of positions? We need players who can play better than the players they are playing against in one position. I want players with specific qualities and specific jobs. The player who can win the ball. The player who can skin someone and cross. The player who can dribble and pick a killer pass. The player who can score. The player who can organise the defence.

When have we had consistency in our recent history?

All season. Only a fool would say our lack of back to back wins isn't a consistent pattern.

Morgan isn't doing a great job of organising the defence at the moment!

Drinkwater, I don't think I've seen him take someone on thus far. He's a decent passer but he's going to have to be better than decent to pass through every team in the Championship.

What I hate more than anything about Leicester, even more than their tendency to make it hard for themselves and throw it away from promising situations, is that we have the minimum of pace and creativity. We are far too happy to be static and pass it sideways, to show little urgency, to hardly ever take men on, to never shoot from good positions at the edge of the box, to not play quick incisive football on a regular basis. We never buy the players to play proper football even when we have the money to. I have watched teams play great football at this level in the last 2 seasons and we are so far away from it for a number of reasons.

Drinkwater may be a good player technically but like Marshall he has so far hardly shown the 'no fear' attitude that makes certain players exciting to watch when they're on the ball. Whether he's good enough for our team is one matter but he is not the answer to our creativity issues. He is more of a Wellens type player, an all-rounder, but not a true attacking midfielder.

I'm happy for us to concede 3 every week if we score 4. We are consistently boring to watch and rarely play football that creates chances, excites the crowd or impresses me. And this doesn't change just because we scored 3 against a Holloway defence. Why both times we went in front we sounded like we'd settled for it, and conceded again when we became under the cosh. I'm not one who likes to slate Pearson but this is a common frustrating occurence when he's been in charge.

The least I was expecting this season was to see some attacking, positive, quick football. It's not happened and I've lost faith that I'm going to see it soon.

This summer will be the same as the last. And the one before that. We'll sign a few players who'll be not bad, but for millions. And we'll be guaranteed promotion. And then come September we'll be shit. As if anyone even thinks otherwise.

Boring boring Leicester.

Boring to watch? So why are Nugent and Beckford scoring for fun at the moment?

Radio Leicester said we had chances to kill the game and go 3-1 up, but wasted them.

You can't seriously suggest that a squad featuring Danns, Konchesky, Dyer, Beckford, Marshall and Schlupp lacks the pace to compete in this league.

We lack enforcers of the Steve Walsh/Roy Keane type in defence. Recruiting one of these, from whatever source, has to be the priority for the manager in the summer.

the way where going we will just need to ditch the the for the red because we will have most of the team made up of forest reject and if i wanted to surpport forest i would go to nottingham and not leicester

De ja fooking vu..

give NP the summer to make his own signings and have his pre season etc..

Hmm. Will the Thais be prepared to give him money? I think not.

My belief is that he will only have the cash from players he sells.

From the owner's point of view, he may well be looked on as a failure, and will have to prove himself in the first twelve or so games next season, otherwise he will no doubt be gone. That is, of course, unless they sack him at the end of the season, which remains a possibility.
