Post Match Hull

Beckford was immense yesterday, especially second half! He chased one of the hull players from one side of the pitch to the other after the danns sending off and then threw his arms up in the air (that is the passion we want) he made some brilliant runs at the defenders and his awareness was brilliant, running down the left wing and switching that ball to lloyd dyer on the right was great awareness and great pass, well done beckford! :scarf:

That is (mostly) correct.

08/09 - 1 home loss

09/10 - 4 home losses (+1 playoff leg)

11/12 - 1 home loss

Home games managed: 57 league, 8 cup, 1 playoff leg

League total: 57 games, 6 losses

Total: 66 games, 7 losses.

What a jinx for Tuesday

Yeah thanks for that...I know who to blame if we lose on Tuesday night now

It's a good record, but how many of them were draws? I'd obviously rather draw than lose, but draws get you nowhere.

19 I reckon.

9 in League One, six the next season and four from this year.

Hmm that's quite impressive aswell really, League one being the most is quite surprising, obviously need to improve on away form, draws away are acceptable I suppose.

On another note, I was disappointed to hear Fryatt getting booed before the game by a select group of fans.

He was a good servant for our club through some of our darkest times, and with the hindsight of us having won, I was glad to see him score today. Classy finish.

I had no problem with Fryatt until yesterday.

Time and time again we saw him through 1on1 when he was with us and how many times did he put it straight at the keeper? That's the sort of chance he'd have missed more time than he scored.

Cocky little git

As for booing Fryatt, give it a rest. Took his goal superbly, too.

It was amusing when he passed the ball straight out of play near the end.

A lot of people have been banging on for a long time about how we should definitely try and sign Cameron Stewart from Hull.

Well, today, Peltier et al had him sorted out and he looked pretty ineffective.

Compare that to the often slated Lloyd Dyer who caused them a lot of problems with his raw pace and determination.

Stewart might be a more technically gifted player, but I'll keep Dyer thanks.

Dyer had a blinder but Stewart is certainly a player I'd consider. Bags of tricks, quick and I thought he always looked a threat when he had the ball at feet.

Yes, Peltier had a good game today to keep him under control.

I reckon Pelts would look so much better consistently with more support from our right midfielder. He gets isolated too often for me.

We tried for Stewart in January. He looked quick and tricky but I didn't see anything in the basis of decent end product from him.

Gally is the worst for leaving Pelts isolated.

Anyone mention the St Ledger goal line clearance? One of the best I've seen.

The one that SSL missed and it hit the post?

THis game showed a lot from our players.

To go 1 down we kept our heads.

To lose a player (Deservedly so) we could have lost our heads too.

Must say the atmosphere in the ground was great at times.

The new Ben Marshall chant took off well(when we knew what it was!!!)

credit to everyone....Hopefully we can carry this on for a while...
