HoustonFox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Leicester under NFP playing 4-2-3-1.......... Who'd have thunk it......... Hopefully 4-2-3-1 the forward Not sure Nugent would agree with you. He looked pretty lost
The Guvnor Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 So dissapointing with Danns can't ever question his commitment but that has to be tempered with common sense.
Guest shearfox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Haven't seen a reply, but I still can't believe Danns got a red for that, just a committed challenge and he seems to clearly win the ball.
Haydos Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Leicester under NFP playing 4-2-3-1.......... Who'd have thunk it......... Hopefully 4-2-3-1 the forward All '4-2-3-1' is is a 4-3-3. It only makes sense that one of them should push further forward in attack otherwise there would be no shape or fluidity. I didn't watch so can't really comment on it but our old 3 in midfield was just a jumbled mess.
HoustonFox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Haven't seen a reply, but I still can't believe Danns got a red for that, just a committed challenge and he seems to clearly win the ball. Even Stringer admitting it was. Leaves not doubt as he is the most myopic of all of us
lcfcsnow Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Credit to Pearson for going for it lately, brilliant team effort to hold on and restrict any real chances 2nd half. Don't hold much hope for playoffs with Wellens has an easy way back into the side though
Haydos Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Even Stringer admitting it was. Leaves not doubt as he is the most myopic of all of us Haven't seen a reply, but I still can't believe Danns got a red for that, just a committed challenge and he seems to clearly win the ball. Everyone has said he left the ground with studs up. If that happens it doesn't matter if he won the ball or not or whether you think it was a fair challenge. It's against the law.
EastNeukFox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Haven't seen a reply, but I still can't believe Danns got a red for that, just a committed challenge and he seems to clearly win the ball. Reporter on soccer special reckoned it was a justified red card, as he went over the ball with studs showing and caught Dull player just above shin pad. Couldn't make the trip down from Scotland this week, so can't comment personally! See you all at the Donny game.
Guest shearfox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Even Stringer admitting it was. Leaves not doubt as he is the most myopic of all of us Well I'm going to have to see a reply, I was hoping we could appeal the decision because Danns has been brilliant.
StanSP Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Absolutely delighted. Gutsy performance from the moment we went down to 10 men, and thoroughly deserved the 3 points. Morgan and SSL were back to their usual selves - showing how solid they are. Getting a few crucial blocks in which could have been goals otherwise. As good as the defensive performance was though, I think my man of the match would be shared by Dyer and Marshall. And not just because they were our goal-scorers. Dyer had one of his (much) better days, working his socks off all match, chasing lost causes, creating chances. Marshall is a very calm and assured player. Very mature head on his shoulders which is impressive for his age. Special mention to Beckford, too. Again worked his socks off for the whole match, and it showed even more when he was left as the lone striker. We can all go home happy tonight (but no doubt some of us will find something to moan at!). Very disciplined performance, and Leicester City can be proud tonight! Bring on Forest!
cc_star Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 3 points off play offs if we'd hung on at Blackpool. Good point but still 2 dropped do agree, but 4 points from 6 against direct rivals is not to be sniffed at
Happy Fox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 I really hope King gets fit soon, the proposition of Wellens in the side again is not great, having said that Drinkwater may help his game...

If that is the case good decision from the ref, just disappointed Danns will now be missing for 3 games...
Bryn Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 I like Marshall in the hole, he's two footed, got a bit of vision and a good shot, he can play there for sure.

Well I'm going to have to see a reply, I was hoping we could appeal the decision because Danns has been brilliant. It was red because as Haydos rightly said, he left the ground with both feet. Let's not get hung up on it though. WE WON!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 do agree, but 4 points from 6 against direct rivals is not to be sniffed at Definitely. Would have taken it at the start of the week
sphericalfox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 I really hope King gets fit soon, the proposition of Wellens in the side again is not great, having said that Drinkwater may help his game... Not sure how soon he'll be match ready. Only went to training yesterday I think
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 I predicted 2-1 to Leicester today, glad i was right for a change
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 I predicted 2-1 to Leicester today, glad i was right for a change Glass half full!! Told ya eh eh!
RowlattsFox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 3 points off play offs if we'd hung on at Blackpool. Good point but still 2 dropped Would be 2 points because blackpool would have a point less. With a game in hand.
marbelladave Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 All '4-2-3-1' is is a 4-3-3. It only makes sense that one of them should push further forward in attack otherwise there would be no shape or fluidity. I didn't watch so can't really comment on it but our old 3 in midfield was just a jumbled mess. Or a 4-5-1, or something inbetween...... It's just a simple way of descibing how we play. Without a dominant, defensive midfielder it is common sense to make sure your central midfielders are prepared to do a bit to cover the back 4. Three attacking midfielders, all with pace and energy supporting a hard working (Beckford FFS) front man.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Brilliant win and best home game of the season. Thoroughly deserved and we have given ourselves a real chance if we won on Tuesday now.
darko2k7 Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 First of all much needed win today But Radio Leicester are making me laugh and a little bit angry. Why are they going on about bad refs for so long when we have won today , the ref made the right call at the re: Danns FFS . And Alan Young is being his normal moaning self slagging the ref off saying he was wrong without even had seen the reply yet . Really hope he is not here next year. Why are they letting all these ****** call in moaning about the ref when he as made the right call 90% of these callers have not even talked about us winning today .
