davieG Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/page/News/0,,10329~2711002,00.html? Doncaster Rovers have been allocated 248 Family Ticket's for the game against Leicester City at King Power Stadium. The tickets will be located in a MIXED area of home and away supporters, and are priced at £25.00. The Family Tickets will be available from Tuesday 3rd April 10am. Please note supporters will only be admitted through the turnstiles on these tickets if 2 x Adults and 2 x U18's are clearly present. I'd like to see this happen more often if the space is there, the more fans are able to mix (see also Lisa's Blog - http://leesoh.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/unwelcome-visitors-part-three.html) the better off we'll be in the long run
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Forest have done this with Donny for the last couple of seasons without any problems, so if they can do it, I'm sure we can.
Babylon Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Forest have done this with Donny for the last couple of seasons without any problems, so if they can do it, I'm sure we can. Knowing the people that run this club they'll put then in L1.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 To be honest why do they we need to mix? It's not like they're going to sell out, I don't think one team has taken our full allo this season in the league it's not like the KP is full up week in week out.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Has the Donny section sold out? If not I don't see why we would sell these tickets in our parts of the ground.

To boost our warm and fuzzy, family friendly, sit down and shut up image with the powers that be.
accessory Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 we're the new watford. We should be so lucky. Watford are in form and still have a shout of the playoffs..
Saxondale Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 I'm sure this will work just fine, but I still don't see the point of it.
Babylon Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Fvcking joke. Sure you aren't over reacting a bit there?
Dan Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 You know what absolutely fvcking riles me. The fact that Norwich cvnting City are allowed to bend the rules to suit themselves and fvck us over to give us 1,600 less tickets, yet a dull fixture here and all of a sudden you're allowed to mix the fans. More evidence of how useless/out of touch the FA are. It needs a re-form top to bottom.
Babylon Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 No wonder people want Pearson out if they can fly into a rage over a few doncaster families mixing with ours!!!
Karljohn Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Judging by the amount of tickets available on the stadium plans at LCFC direct, they'll be sitting on their own in our end.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 If I want to be sat next to an away fan, I'll go to the Tigers thanks. Don't the powers-that-be realise that it's the tribalism that makes football atmospheres unique? Evidently not.

Don't the powers-that-be realise that it's the tribalism that makes football atmospheres unique? Evidently not. They want it gone. I'm absolutely certain of it. Could be the start of something here I'm afraid.
purpleronnie Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 They want it gone. I'm absolutely certain of it. Could be the start of something here I'm afraid. Its pretty close to gone already. Quite strange that we seem to want zero atmopshere at games whilst the rest of the world encourages their fans to create one.
Karljohn Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Its the new double platinum fixture, platinum = sit in the away end, double platinum an extra tenner to sit with your own fans.
Happy Fox Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Even Mandy wouldn't have the bollocks to sanction this sort of thing are the Thais for real..
FrankieADZ Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 personally i dont think its a brilliant idea but cant hurt to try it....tho I suspect the area will be heavily monitored for trouble
RowlattsFox Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 If families are separated from the 'hardcore' elements (I'm talking generally here) then surely that will make the hardcore group a better place to be? They've been allocated a number of tickets though, so there still sitting with each other, just without the segregation. Heard we were going to be trialing this idea a while ago
