Earl Shilton Lee Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Precisely. That's a different argument though, but I agree with the point you're making. I assume you don't want to buy a new shirt when there's a stoppage for some treatment No, no I don't. I tend not to move during the match. They're crap enough as it is without me risking missing one of the couple of brief moments of excitement by toddling off to the shop.
purpleronnie Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Why wouldn't you want it to be hostile?. Surely home advantage is a huge deal...well it is in the rest of the world. I'm not talking about violence but an intimidating atmosphere should be paramount. I know this would never happen in england but I'm always surprised when people seem to not want a hostile atmosphere. we are becoming a little bit wimpy.

I don't get it either, but apparently shop access has gone down well.
davieG Posted 2 April 2012 Author Posted 2 April 2012 I thought you were a fan. I am now, I wasn't before because i didn't know it existed.
Earl Shilton Lee Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 I don't get it either, but apparently shop access has gone down well. Shop access is something I could see myself becoming annoyed by. Not the principle of it, of course - it's wholly inoffensive. But people getting up and standing in front of me every ten minutes while I'm trying to take the match in would grate.
Guest Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 I am now, I wasn't before because i didn't know it existed. now! It's a mix of serious and not-so-serious stuff. But I have no direction. davieG Posted 2 April 2012 Author Posted 2 April 2012 now! It's a mix of serious and not-so-serious stuff. But I have no direction. Are you anything to do with Leicester City football club?
Babylon Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 I'm passed caring about stuff like this Leicester always do things backwards! The club is a joke. What is it with people called Danny on here?
Number 6 Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 I hate this. Don't get me wrong, outside of the game fans should be able to have a drink down the pub together and treat each other with the same respect they'd treat any other human being. However, the seperated fans at football is what sparks the great atmosphere. Will be sad to see that lost.
Babylon Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Will be sad to see that lost. It's a few people taking up what would have been empty seats in an area not exactly known for atmosphere (where is). It's going to make no difference at all.
Number 6 Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 It's a few people taking up what would have been empty seats in an area not exactly known for atmosphere (where is). It's going to make no difference at all. True. Maybe I should reserve judgement until I have seen it.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 What is it with people called Danny on here? Hey what's wrong with me?
acooling08 Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 NO NO NO. This is the first step towards mixed supporters. If that ever happens I will stop going to matches.
Finnegan Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Used to ****ing love the banter at grounds like Stradey Park with mixed fans on the terraces in the rugby. Cracking laf. This'll be a bit sterile I guess if it's all families but it really isn't the end of the world that everyone's making out.
Kitchandro Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Completely against this idea. Another sign that the club is trying to kill the atmosphere. I know it won't make much difference in this game but sooner or later they'll start doing it more often and they'll let them have more than 250.
Kitchandro Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Why wouldn't you want it to be hostile?. This. My god, people need to realise that kids are....well, kids. They get intimidated easily. I was scared of that Pearl and Dean advert at the cinema until I was about 12. They shouldn't be subject to threats etc but if they can't handle some loud noises and swearing then maybe they shouldn't go. But lets get real, no kids come home crying because they're scared of the atmosphere at the football. The atmosphere should be intimidating, it is an advantage, it does give your fans a good reputation. There is a line between intimidating and threatening that shouldn't be crossed but a lot of people at our club, and some of our fans, seem to want to actually kill the atmosphere. People need to accept football for what it is and what's it's always been about.
wellyfox Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 This could take the game back 60yrs or more. I think it would be great bringing young fans up with an attitude that they can stand together and no trouble. This can only be good for us and the game if it works. Then again some would rather be dodging batteries coins and darts and kicking the crap out of eachother. Been there seen that bin battered and don't want that T shirt anymore. Gets my vote not like they have 1000 seats in the middle of the kop. And anyway had we sold the seats it could not happen. Some people need to grow up.
LCFC FOX Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 So Doncaster fans will be sitting in the Leicester area? What a sh** idea. Also if they mix the two supporters a lot of people will stop going including me.
cambridgefox Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 Thais killing the atmosphere is it not US fans that create it.like a bunch of fooking women moaning.Man up some of you.

FantasticMrFuchs Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 But nobody has answered the original question of: If Donny haven't sold out their allocation, then why would families want to buy a ticket in our end and sit with our supporters? It doesn't make sense! I am not against it if there was some logical reasoning behind it.

Or maybe some people want to join together in a group and make noise whilst a seperate group does the same? If you'd prefer no atmosphere then that's your choice but to me that sounds shit.

My guess, the families don't want to sit with their children amongst a bunch of young, often aggressive men effing and blinding trying to bait the home fans.
whitwickfox Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 We Can always sit and chat to the donny fans ....beats watching the utter shite on the field
