21st Century Fox Posted 11 April 2012 Posted 11 April 2012 Quite a few of the scapegoats coincide with players that Alan Young took a dislike to
hackneyfox Posted 11 April 2012 Posted 11 April 2012 Taggart The singing of his name was started in a very ironic manner.
hackneyfox Posted 11 April 2012 Posted 11 April 2012 Ade Akinbiyi - Victim of his price tag and our expectations of him because of it. Plain awful, he only went up in my estimation when Stoke (?) players voted to go on strike, he agreed with the principle but was never sure if he should vote for it as he was 'a millionnaire from my time at Leicester'
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 11 April 2012 Posted 11 April 2012 Tommy English although he was shocking . . . . . . .
hackneyfox Posted 11 April 2012 Posted 11 April 2012 ..... that coont deserved all he got, swapped for Melrose. Apparently he would have been swapped for Lineker had he not scored the week before, and people claim Milne was a good manager. Once touched by the shirtstick of co* there is no way back.

mustapha_teabreak Posted 11 April 2012 Posted 11 April 2012 Yakubu. Ricardo got a lot of stick but he wasn't very good and it was over the top but some was justified. Yakubu, on the other hand, was clearly class, much better than any other striker we'd ever seen play for us at the KP, yet for some reason was hated by at least 50% of our fans. Ludicrous. he was hated by know nothing idiots because he didn't run around a lot. do you want a class player who bangs them in, or a plodder that runs around a lot. no brainer for me, class wins every time.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 11 April 2012 Posted 11 April 2012 Scowcroft was another big one of recent years. Always thought he was fairly dependable if unspectacular myself. Stearman aswell. Young, local lad who had come through the academy and clearly cared about playing for the club yet was slaughtered for the slightest mistake. I remember when he was playing right back, one time he bust a gut down the flank to try and stop a ball going out for a goal kick, just missed it and some guy behind me shouts: "Stearman! You're sh*t!". Half the players in that team wouldn't have cared enough to even both trying to chase it. I always thought he showed real glimpses of quality on the ball and was a real prospect so was glad to see him do well when he went to Wolves. Has since being playing at a level this club's been striving for for years!
brockmyster Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Definitely Stearman everyone seemed to hate him even though at the time he was probably our best defender by miles. Collins John, oh no wait he was just utter shit
ozleicester Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Me! Im tired of being called, plastic, fickle, a Pearson hater. Yes, i think Gally and Wellens are good players, No, i dont think Pearson is good enough, Yes, i liked Yakubu, Yes, i thought Ricardo was better than Weulllll. No, i dont go to every game Leave me alone.... ... why wont they leave Britney me alone
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 When your supporters are full of moaners and whingers there is going to be many scapegoats.

Mack Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Ricardo wasn't a scapegoat, he was a ****ing liability!
Zingari Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Alan Woolett seemed to shoulder most of the blame for a good few years .
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 glad to see him do well at wolves? i hope you're joking. darren moore played in the premiership too you know. Deadly serious. Thought he always gave his all, clearly cared and was very underrated by many. I think he's proven most of those people that slaughtered him wrong by being an integral part of a promotion winning side and then playing in the Premiership week in, week out. In the last few years he's single-handedly played more Premiership games than our club has over the last decade. Quite funny that he won Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year that season we went down yet people still claimed he was rubbish! The guy obviously managed to fool the majority of the fanbase and all of his team mates... It's the same with King, he didn't have a brilliant start this season and everyone was jumping on his back saying we should sell etc. He's consistently won Player of the Year awards from his peers. They can obviously see the talent he has and what he contributes to their team and it's a shame some of the more fickle, or more braindead, amongst the support can't.
Guest Bilo Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Denis wise? Nah, he was just a cvnt. Shit by the time Taylor signed him as well.
Leicester_Numan Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Jimmy Willis took a lot of stick, I remember David Oldfield got a lot of stick around the same time, as did Lee Philpott, but you never knew if that was all fans or just the couple of vocal ones where we sat. I don't remember any player ever getting booed (except David Speedie but that was all in jest). I didn't rate Oldfield as a striker but I think he did really well in midfield alongside Thompson. I didn't rate Pisspot, but he had a lot to live up to replacing Ooh Tommy Wright. As for everyone saying Ricardo, What? He was worse than Kalac
RonnieTodger Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Matt Oakley - Everyone's anger at a shit 1-0 defeat at Derby was turned to him for clapping the home supporters.
Kitchandro Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Players who are/were pretty alright, but get the blame for everything. Recent ones have been: Ricardo, Yakubu, Mills, Beckford, Wellens, Gallagher etc Who were our major scapegoats before recently? Or were fans not such whining bitches a few decades ago? Alright? He was a fvcking liability. Of course our fans treatment of him was out of order but he's hardly in the same category as the others.
Kitchandro Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Guppy took a fair amount of grief for not getting back and helping out Gary Mac was never truly appreciated by a lot of the crowd. The boy Lineker took some stick as well. That really is ridiculous
