Guest Basildon Fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Steve Howard and Nigel Pearson didn't part on the best of terms, hence why Howard was gone before the final game at Leeds. Thought that from his tweets about broken promises. Was it down to an inferred contract extension?
Soar Fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 So how many players is that now that have apparently fell out with Pearson?
foxes2011 Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 good servant maybe the right time to start looking forward now with people like shluup and hooper
Out Foxed Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 good servant maybe the right time to start looking forward now with people like shluup and hooper yes good servant. he took his wages and did the job assigned to him to a reasonable level....
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Thought that from his tweets about broken promises. Was it down to an inferred contract extension? If Howard thought he'd done anything to deserve a new contract then he must be fookin deluded.
foxoffderby Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Twady mardy phudhi Thats a bit harsh, but I agree with you Dr
Sharmania Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 The curse of me getting players on the back of my shirt! Last season I had: VASSELL 37. HOWARD 9. WELLENS 19. Only one of them is likely to still be here next season, and he's injured! This season I had: GALLAGHER 7. BAMBA 6. MILLS 5. All of them could potentially go this summer. Dare I risk my current plans to get: KONCHESKY 3. DANNS 23. NUGENT 35. If they all leave next summer I will take full responsibility for my actions.

And get them printed? Wow.
Sharmania Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 You buy all three shirts every season? And get them printed? Wow. I'm twenty but still a big kid at heart! My birthday is the day after summer transferdeadline day as well so normally the home shirt is a standard birthday present!
Guy Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 Never forget that header vs Leeds, never seen the king power jumping like that since, great moment Good luck for the future Steve Hopefully someone like Charlton will take him on, think they'll need a player like him next season He lives in Northampton's outskirts so he has plenty of choice as regards "where next", geographically speaking....chances are that he'll be plying his strikers trade at a Stevenage or Luton next season......I'd predict

I can see someone like Charlton having a look at him as well, I'd love that
JohnnyB Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Looks like Notts County are interested Notts County are chasing ex-Leicester and Derby striker Steve Howard, reveals Keith Curle Tuesday, May 15, 2012 Nottingham PostFollow NOTTS County are chasing striker Steve Howard. Howard, 36, will be a free agent this summer when his contract at Leicester City ends and Magpies boss Keith Curle is eager to hold talks with him about a move to Meadow Lane for next season. Howard has already enjoyed success at two clubs in the East Midlands, Derby County and Leicester City. After joining the Rams for £1m, he fired them into the Premier League in 2007 and then, after a £1.5m switch to City, won the League One title with the Foxes three years ago. "I've not had the opportunity to meet Stevie yet. I would like to speak to him though to find out if our paths could cross," said Curle. "If we get the opportunity to sit down together I will try to sell him my vision for the future of this club and see if that ties in with his ambitions." Curle's vision for the Magpies is promotion into the Championship – and he believes that could attract players like Howard to the club. "I won't even talk to players that we've not got a chance of signing," he said. "Hopefully, we are an attractive club because we did well last season and are ambitious. "We're not going to break the bank to sign players though. "We will offer what we can afford and will offer bonuses so if players do well, they will be rewarded." Curle released 13 players last week, most notably keeper Stuart Nelson, who played every game for the club last season, and offered only four players new deals at Meadow Lane. He is now looking forward to building his own squad. "There is no one priority. Every player I want to sign is a priority," he said. "In an ideal world we will sign 12 players by the end of this week, but then I also hope to win the lottery! "It's going to be a busy summer but I'm looking forward to it and really believe I can build a competitive squad."

JohnnyB Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Yes - sorry about that - I'd assumed that copying and pasting would work.
stourbridgefox Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 I thought he wanted to retire and go back to the north east. Good luck to him though.

I reckon he could do a job for Northampton Town?

Guy Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Does he live in Collingtree Park? I reckon he could do a job for Northampton Town? Yep, he sure does live there. He was a Cobbler before so he could eaily slot back in there I'd imagine, depends if Aidy Boothroyd would want him though I guess......and what other offers he gets elsewhere such as that reported interest from Notts County....
flowwolf Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 NOTTS County are chasing striker Steve Howard. They should have little trouble with his pace .
Leicfox Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 And, in an interview with SportMail, Howard explained: “I wasn’t enjoying my football at Leicester. I wasn’t allowed to go on loan and I just wanted to play. “There were false promises and that was frustrating. http://www.hartlepoo...gning-1-4732184
