Ashley Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 Can remember a few years ago and all the hype surrounding him loads Premier League clubs were after him.
Steven Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 SERIOUSLY your all w*nkers. Saying whitbread is a shit signing? On a free? I swear you think we're man city or something? never going on this forum again your all deluded. he's a quality player. even if he only plays 20 games it's still worth it. bye.
Grewks Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 Whitbreads an ex lion Better late than never does not apply here.
FrankieADZ Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 Wonder who Stringers source is.. ....I suspect its that HP Sauce. he's always got a leaky lid.
Mark_w Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 Oi... I can keep secrets! So you admit it's Whitbread! He thought he could trust you man, not cool.
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 Right , lets get this straight !!! 1. Zac Whitbread would be a great addition to the squad and as for his bad injury record don't forget that's the only reason we got Mark Davies and look how that turned out (try being positive) 2. Both Sven and NP have brought in some fantastic players to our club (and the odd turkey granted) Svens players cost more money yes but players like kasper if sold could go for a big fee where as NP had to wheel and deal and bring in loans, but found some gems !! Both managers have their good points and bad and both had/have my full support, this will be a tough season ahead but if we can get it right at the back there's no reason we can't make the play offs at least !! Let's be positive and really get behind the boys !!!! Good post mate, but, I think it's typical of Foxes Talk that people get so easily branded into one 'camp' or another. I've seen it for years, starting in my experience, with when we were managed by Ian Holloway. Just because people may debate whether they feel certain managers are going to do well or not or whether certain signings should be good for the club or not, this doesn't mean that those same people then have to be labelled as 'Sven haters' or 'Pearson lovers' etc etc. It's merely debate. And opinion. And it's all valid. My own personal experience is one of starting to worry that Ollie was going to take us down. From what I saw of how we were playing under him, it was all going very wrong. I mentioned this a few weeks into the new year and got shot to pieces for 'being negative' usually by the same crowd. Look how that turned out... Then Sven.... Again, I was pretty quickly branded a 'Sven hater' because there were certain perceived aspects of his management that I felt wouldn't work, especially his emphasis on playing people out of position. Again, look how that turned out.... Now Pearson..... Of the three managers mentioned he's my favourite because I think I would do similar things to him if I were managing a football club. However, if there are some things that may concern me about some of his decisions, or rumours about what he may or may not do, then I'll raise them. When we were being linked with Maguire, I did mention that I thought Morgan would be better playing alongside someone who's a bit quicker. Because that's my opinion. No one has to agree with it, I'm just expressing it. Similar with Whitbread... He does seem to be injury prone. This doesn't mean we shouldn't sign him, it's simply raising this point as a concern. I've also said I think Drinkwater will be a superb signing and that Beckford has more to come. I find him such a frustrating player because I think he can score lots of league goals, but hasn't done for us yet. Just opinions... Some positively slanted, others negatively slanted... But at least I state what I usually think. Take it or leave it. This doesn't make me a 'Sven basher' or a 'Pearson lover', just a football fan with his own opinions on things, and who would love to see the club emulate some of the success of bygone years. There is a difference between discussing 'managers' per se and discussing 'issues' that crop up with any of them. Unfortunately, when debating 'issues' people seem to quickly brand people as 'liking' a manager or not, lock stock and two smoking barrels. For example, I like Holloway the man. He's done wonders at Blackpool and seems a very genuine bloke. But the football we played under him was awful. So I said so. I rate Pearson, but I don't want to start the season again overly relying on Gally and King. So I've said so. Etc.... Let's be honest, if the forum was completely full of people who were signing from the same hymn sheet (ie that Pearsons signings will all be great for the club because he'll develop them etc etc) it would be a boring place to be because most posts would read pretty much the same. Finally, I'd love to see us sign Robert Koren... He would be the most exciting signing of the pre season IMO because he'd make it all tick... I have no idea whether Pearson wants him, will go and get him or whether he'd want to join us. But I'D love him at Leicester.

Mark_w Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 No worries ! It's just THE easiest way to get a rep point on here No it isn't, the easiest way is to acknowledge one of JACE_HOBBS jokes.
Petchy Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 No it isn't, the easiest way is to acknowledge one of JACE_HOBBS jokes. Use that term loosely....
LCFC FOX Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 Come on ToffeFox is this the same player you was referring to yesterday? Don't have to say who it is still because we basically know. But well done
TrentFox Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 No it isn't, the easiest way is to acknowledge one of JACE_HOBBS jokes. They're meant to be JOKES ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EnderbyFox Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 Who said it was ZW.. Is there another signing incoming, that isn't Whitbread then?
Grewks Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 What date does Koren's contract end. Because he has a 500k buyout clause as soon as he enters the final year, and is possibly the reason we have not signed him yet. Could it be him?
