DanTheFox07 Posted 25 July 2012 Posted 25 July 2012 We are a very good left winger and a ball winning, defensive midfielder away from a very good squad. We have too many central midfielders as it is to bring another one in but I worry we'll suffer the same problems as we have done for years in the centre if we don't get a ball winner. Danns, Drinkwater and James all appear to be able to create but they aren't strong enough to play the gritty role needed at this level. King neither fits in to either category, he scores a lot of goals and 'defensively' is very good but he's not an out and out ball winner either. Koren probably isn't the answer either, he doesn't do the grafting very well. Leigterwood from Reading would be ideal but I imagine he'll get in for them next season. Mark Gower from Swansea will be available but he's the wrong side of 30 and Wellens needs to go before we accomodate veterans Hopefully Walsh has been scouting abroad and we can bring in some unknown talent to fill these 2 spots. Really.......? when was the last time we got a decent player in from scouting abroad then????

Happy Fox Posted 25 July 2012 Posted 25 July 2012 Under Bates no chance of it happening but if Leeds get new owners and bid £3m + than I guess the club will consider it? Having said that I hope he stays here, because he is an asset to us if we utilize him properly.

People off this forum said we could do with him etc when rumours were going round, I posted that should LCFC ever make him an offer he would turn it down...

Yeah but the fact he went to Leeds doesn't prove you are correct that he would never join Leicester. It's more than probable that we never went in for him.

It was through Pini Zahavi, breaker of the takeover bid and friend of Mandaric. Rather unsurprisingly Wednesday have signed two players from Portugal. We considered Jeremy perbet from Mons, top scorer in Belgium but the 2 million euros fee was too much.

Correct we never went in for him but he said he would never join Leicester should an offer come in for himself, he also said that day that he would be going to Leeds or Barnsley which has happened - Good enough word for me. Just makes me laugh how people jump on you on here as soon as you hear anything with a bit of susbtance.
