All I'm saying is the guy has had a lot of long term injury problems that have kept him out for weeks at a time! We don't need that! Also I've trawled through a couple of norwich fan forums and they really don't rate him and they don't seem arsed that he went, neither do the club considering they let him go as a free agent. After being linked with up and coming centre backs with future potential such as Maguire and Chester its a step down in my opinion.

Would've got a good feeling from signing either of these two but

(a) Chester would probably have been Pearson's perfect choice, but unrealistic to expect to land him (Hull's reluctance, and a Mills-like fee)

(b) Maguire is still only 19 so uncertain whether he will progress to expectations.

Let's not forget that we have at least 2 highly rated CBs from our academy who must be close to be worth a runout in the Championship, having been on loan for a season at lower league level aready, and who might have just as much chance of reaching the standard as Maguire.

At the end of the day, NP will have weighed up all the options, and I trust himto get it right.

Right , lets get this straight !!!

1. Zac Whitbread would be a great addition to the squad and as for his bad injury record don't forget that's the only reason we got Mark Davies and look how that turned out (try being positive)

2. Both Sven and NP have brought in some fantastic players to our club (and the odd turkey granted) Svens players cost more money yes but players like kasper if sold could go for a big fee where as NP had to wheel and deal and bring in loans, but found some gems !!

Both managers have their good points and bad and both had/have my full support, this will be a tough season ahead but if we can get it right at the back there's no reason we can't make the play offs at least !!

Let's be positive and really get behind the boys !!!!

You clearly don't understand that you can't fall between the two camps. You must either hate or love Sven, and either constantly resort to concluding anything Pearson does is to repair everything he did, or complain that nothing Pearson can do will result in success.

Sort you yourself out! You'll make no friends trying to be realistic on here! :thumbup:

If this signing does happen then I think all thats left now would be a Left midfielder as we will NOT go anywhere with just Dyer as our threat. other than that I think we look pretty solid throughout and should have a good season if everyone plays at the top of their game and are organised.

Vardy could be the star man.

People putting high expectations on Vardy. I hope he does ok. Certainly has some pace and an eye for goal. Depends how he's played, position, starter or sub. Just don't think we should get too carried away.

Absolutely! I'm really excited about seeing him play but I don't expect him to set the world alight straight away. Got a feeling he's going to be used more as a wide player than a striker but we'll have to wait and see
