ian the fox Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 I like Roy , Think he could be ok , with a team of players no where near good enough to win any silverware ...........any thoughts > >> ?
Fox92 Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 I don't like him that much. He couldn't handle big players at Liverpool, so I doubt he will be able to handle players such as Lampard and Terry. Even failed at Blackburn.
kingfox Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 Boring appointment in my opinion. Won't do very well, but I doubt any manager would do that well in the England job, even Jose Mourinho probably couldn't guide us to European or World Cup glory. Cus frankly we are rubbish, therefore I will be supporting Holland as usual for the Euros.

Jaspa Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 Brilliant picture Congrats to the man Lets hope this means a new dawn for England !

kingfox Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 If that's your attitude, why the hell do you still support Leicester? Why can't I support Leicester? Don't have to support England aswell, a lot of people prefer club over country and im one of them. Loads of people think England are rubbish, and im one of them.
Guest MattP Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 Great appointment, an intelligent articulate well travelled man over a crook. Whatever happens on the pitch we'll have the best suits in the tournament as well, Hodgson will know the best Jewish tailors on Brick Lane.

ian the fox Posted 1 May 2012 Author Posted 1 May 2012 Woy has a better CV than -1- cup Harry Redknapp , but isnt as exciting , bit like Greenwood over Clough from a few decades ago .....
Corky Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 Woy has a better CV than -1- cup Harry Redknapp , but isnt as exciting , bit like Greenwood over Clough from a few decades ago ..... Well it's not, as Clough had the better CV.
1884Fox Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 congrats to him don't think he is a bad manager lets hope he does well
Leicesterpool Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 I think he's a excellent apointment, horrible arry's cv is rubbish compaired to Roy. One sad thing that roy said in his press conference is that he said he wanted to take fatboy rooney! don't need him he's sh*t when he puts an english shirt on.
Guest shearfox Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 I think he's a excellent apointment, horrible arry's cv is rubbish compaired to Roy. One sad thing that roy said in his press conference is that he said he wanted to take fatboy rooney! don't need him he's sh*t when he puts an english shirt on. He is going to take a player who has arguably had their best season scoring 33 in 41 games. You would be mad if you didn't take him.
Corky Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 Hodgson is right to take Rooney, purely because it's something he won't get bombarded with by the press for weeks.
Tielemans63 Posted 1 May 2012 Posted 1 May 2012 Good luck to him - think he has is work cut out after bombing at Liverpool though. I'm not sure he has what it takes to deal with England's big egos. Hope I'm wrong though!
IdiotequeFox Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 Good appointment for me, he's a very cerebral manager and a deep thinker, much better than 'Arrys CV.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 I think he will do good but in the media and publics eyes he will fail as the Public and Media (majority of them) believe it England should win every tournament. Good Luck Roy! Some Leicester supporters aren't even English. True that
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 This is win win for us, when NP gets us up we can snap Roy up when he gets the blame for England's poor performance's and if NP fails ditto
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 Some England fans would rather have Mike Bassett than Roy Hodgson, ****ing pisses me off!
leicesterlad1989 Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 Well at least we finally have a manager who is English, thats a start. He is certainly passionate for the cause, rather than a zombie like Capello. I'd rather have him than Redknapp. Whenever I think I Redknapp I just imagine a circus, good manager but I think his one major trophy always seems to over shadow everything Hodgson has achieved over the past god knows how many years. As for not being able to handle the big players at Liverpool, even 'King' Kenny can't do that, and he's spent £100M! As an England fan who is travelling to the Euro's I shall be giving him my full support.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 2 May 2012 Posted 2 May 2012 I shall be giving him my full support. And this should be the case with all fans Plastic or not
