LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 I have heard from a couple of big Leicester fans through friends that Owen Hargreaves has been offered a two year deal post his Man City release. Apparently he would be interested by an attractive 2 year, £25,000 contract. Granted, this is an unproven and sketchy piece of news. I recently read that he is considering retirement/coaching role so am doubtful about LCFC but they seem really upbeat and confident about this! Regardless of its truth, how would Owen go down with you lot? Top buy? Worthwhile and neccessary? Or a big risk/waste? Love how your thread is in comedy rumours now!

Can't see it happening one bit, but as you said, regardless of truth; it would probably be a risk, especially at 25k a week, but he has the quality to play at this level, no doubt.

Definately, I still think he has the quality to play premier league, just hampered by injuries. When fit he has the ability to pick apart defences at any level.

I agree. 25k is too much, and any less, then Hargreaves wouldnt get out of bed for it! I think there may be far more younger, fitter, cheaper players out there with big potential.
