My last season?

I just wish people would vote with their feet. If enough of us did...

I do think that, but then I sometimes question if it really would. You'll always find morons with more money than sense willing to take your place.

For football to improve in general the first thing I would like to see is Gavin Ward given a life ban from refereeing. I would also like to see standing returning and goal music banned.

Can you read? If so read my post again! I don't need tossers like you coming on here if you are not capable of reading someones posting correctly!

I have been a paying supporter of City for 35 or 36 years, how long have you been paying to watch them?

It's because of assholes like you that I stopped posting on the forum. I thought I would give it another try, but I don't know why I bothered . What is the point of attempting to have a serious posting when such as you come along with such stupid comments as above?

I do wonder if coming on this board is detrimental to the enjoyment of supporting city, if it wasn't for everyone on here, and Alan Young, and moaning buggers at the ground, I would probably be deluded into thinking that the team isn't that bad, and actually we have been unlucky in a number of games where we haven't had the rub of the green, coupled with awful refs, injuries and suspensions at the worst possible time and further managerial upheaval as well as teams parking the bus, and kicking off the park. If I hadn't been coming on here I probably wouldn't get angry at the thought of a Paul Gallagher corner, or at Beckford's goal per league games ratio, or Wellens constantly slowing the ball down, or Matt fvcking Mills headbutting NP, I would probably still think Andy King was a good player and Waghorn will be the star of next season, and that the owners have been a positive for this club, NP is the man to take us up, and Mike Stowell is a competent coach.

All of these delusions and more (the KP is a shell and is on the verge of collapse) have been shattered this season, I now understand why people say ignorance is bliss.

Any one slagging off the OP is a moron, the Tigers commet was most likely tongue in cheek (that's how I read it) the real sentiment is that he is fed up with being a season ticket holder at Leicester.

He is clearly not the only one, and it is not specifically down to this season, but in the main what football in general and this club now stand for. Regardless of how good the owners have been, it is weird to see Air Asia and Singha beer splashed all over the place instead of local companies. When you look at the team sheet, where are the long standing players, the icons, the legends, where is the passion and the love between players and fans, and this goes both ways. When you watch the FA cup final, at 5.15 on a Saturday, featuring 2 racists, 2 love rats, an olympic grade diver, a £50 million flop, a £35 million lump, delaying tactics and play acting, the all too regular controversy which could be easily resolved with technology, you just lose a little passion for the game. I think the Mills incident has jaded people more than anything else this season, he was going to be the new Walsh, Elliot, Taggart rolled into one. The greatest player since our last 5 million pound man...

Instead we got disappointment and controversy.

I have no doubt that despite not renewing his season ticket the OP, and others, will be back at the KP next season, a good start, or a run of wins will get the excitement back, get the interest going, remind them of the love that they have buried deep down, it may have been eroded away over the years but it will always be there, and it is not defined by how much you money you spend. Being a true supporter, does not mean spending however much they ask on tickets and everything else, it means blindly and ferverently supporting any and every player that pulls on the shirt even if deep down you know they are shit.

Well put Captain Shrapnel. I would like to thank all of you that have written sensible replies in response to my topic, you have obviously read & understood what I have said. To those of you that have thrown childish insults at me, I would say to you, is a supporter of 35/36 years a plastic supporter? I will always be a City fan, I could never, ever support any other football club, & the Tigers comment was purely 'tongue in cheek'.

As some of you may correctly guess, I am not exactly a youngster, in fact I am retired so it is quite an expense to be able to find the cost to attend the games.

Also, as some of the posters have mentioned, it's not just City that I have lost interest in, but football in general & some of you have put this point across extremely well. Football is no longer the 'sport' that it used to be.

Finally, I really don't understand why people come on the forum to sling ridiculous insults at someone who tries to make an interesting topic.

The problem is is with players costing millions in transfer fees and £100ks per week in wages clubs cannot afford to have players not playing because of broken legs and other injuries.

Part of the excitement of the game is seeing a crunching tackle (no puns please) but it shouldn't be necessary to risk permanent injury to earn a living.

I'm not talking about crunching tackles people are booked for all sorts of relatively minor indiscretions, for example time wasting why a yellow card, why not just indicate to the offender that additional time will be added in excess of the time wasted say 1/2 minute, when a player kicks the ball away time could be added on for that if it is deemed to be time wasting if it's petulance how about a fine to go into a fund to help fans in some way. There's plenty of other examples where alternatives to getting 2 yellows it just needs a bit of imagination

Many of the tackles are just that tackles but it seems like you only have to have aplayer go to ground for some refs to start waving their yellow cards of power around, whatever happened to having quiet word in a players ear.

Fans have got so used to the card game they get more excited about a player being sent off than they do about seeing quality football.

He's posted 15 times since Jan 2008, I'm not sure why you rose to the bait.

I think DavieG is right, the cost is only part of it. The frustration of the obvious not being fixed is the most galling.

Retrospective punishment of divers and time wasters and all those petulant little things that piss off every fan, such as keepers taking too long to restart the play, during the match the ref wants to speed up play, the only tool he has is a yellow card if teams are wasting time, which then wastes more time, I also think a big clock that stops whenever the ball goes out of play and play hasn't restarted in 10/20 seconds (would need trials to get it right so as not to have games lasting 3 hours) would be effective, it is clear it is visible and players will realise that delaying tactics won't achieve anything and it is also clear when the game is over (like in rugby).

I would also like to see teams punished for not attacking and killing the game off, but I don't know how popular that would be.

They're modern football fans they've been fed on a diet of yellow and red cards and are baying, snarling and howling for you to take any early bath :P

I would also like to see teams punished for not attacking and killing the game off, but I don't know how popular that would be.

But a yellow card serves no purpose during the game other than to make the player nervous about every action they take and to satisfy a few blood curdling fans. A signal from the ref that he is going to add on a significant amount of time as punishment not some hypothetical amount equal to the time wasted like 10 seconds that no one knows whether it's been added or not would provide instant punishment and act as a greater deterrent.

Any way this is just one of my many gripes and as i said individually they might seem petty but add them all up and you can see how the game has got worse.

Tigers are a great team, go and support them. Could always sign up to MUTV while you're at it! Fair enough not going to the matches due to the prices but there is no need to lose interest. The terrible times are usually the most exciting and when we do get promoted it will feel 10 times better because you went through the bad times. It's a shame that 'Foxes seem to quit'.

Before last season, when I was a consistent STH, so often I'd worry about the days when I wouldn't be able to make it for whatever reason. But I'm so glad I did. Since moving away from Leicester, I've only been to one home game and I was bored out of my fvcking mind when I did.

While aways are still vaguely enjoyable I'll prioritise them.

And like Smuts, I fell into the clutches of another club while disillusioned with Leicester City and I've caught the bug there. Watching them for the umpteenth time this season when they travel to Wembley!

I could go on and on about why home games are so shit - but the prime reason is that you find yourself standing there amongst your fellow Leicestarians and can only reach the conclusion that 90% of those around you are absolute fvcking morons.

That's what I mean by enough of us.

There'll always be someone ready to pay it. But the clubs and FA would soon get the message if the gates were zero

Personally, it started to go downhill in 2002 when we left our beloved Filbert Street. The move to the then 'Walkers Stadium' was seen as a new and exciting chapter for our club. And over the years, for one reason or another it has lowered my enthusiasm for the game... aswel as other things DavieG has pointed out.

I think having fans willing to be more "political" (for want of a better word) inside the ground and speak up for the things they want at Leicester, and indeed the game as a whole, would be far more beneficial long term than wholesale boycotts - but sadly it's so rare in this country to find enough people genuinely willing to engage in something like that.

Kinda lost my passion for it about March last year.. Still go though, **** all else to do really.

Maybe. There are certain things that can be done. The safestanding thing being one. As you have rightly pointed out though, people talking and people doing are two entirely different things. Maybe they think it won't work, so there's no point, or maybe they don't care enough.

Personally I'm pretty much anti anything the FA come up with nowadays. They've suceeded in changing the face of football fans. Not so much because they want more money than the working man can give, but because the working mans traditonal approach to football is to stand, sing, drink and (occasionally) swear. All the things the FA don't want associated with football anymore. If anybody wants to see the sanitisation of football at its worst, orchestrated by the FA, go to Wembley for an England game, be it friendly or qualifier. I could probably cry about it its that sad.

New poster, regular reader, so hi all....

I see the guy's point. I've been a season ticket holder since 1991/992 and i'm not renewing. Didn't attend the last two home games and don't generally enjoy it anymore.

Football has changed so much, i still love it, but not all the crap that surrounds it, and most of the people who play it (step forward Terry/Rooney etc), the ridiculous salaries, the disproportionate hype and razamatazz etc...

it just doesn't feel as important to me as it used to. I used to follow England home and away until the 2010 world cup, spending a fortune in the process, and the way our players performed in that, the attitude they showed completely disillusioned me.

Spoilt, over rated, over paid brats who simply do not care beyond their over inflated pay packets and next boot deal.

Having said all that, if we get off to a flyer, i'll probably jump on the bandwagon and get a half season ticket (i'm a football fan, i'm allowed to be ficklel!).
