redtillidie Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 News has filtered through that he signed at 4 o'clock. Congratulations you've got yourself a bargain. Great News for LCFC, he is a real talent isnt he. no doubt kingfox will have something more negative to say on the matter... Go luck Matty, i wish you well in your future.
Mark_w Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Good news, looking forward to seeing him play, most of the time Nigel gets these signings right and based on what United fans have been saying I reckon this could be a great signing.
foxer Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Cheers for the info on James united fans, always nice when other fans come on here and give good insights into players etc. Much appreciated . I hope he has signed - sounds like a cracking player.

Narborough_fox Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 ritchie de laet @de_laet_r And yes Matty will come as well thanks everyone #MUFC was great for me Expand Reply Retweeted Favorite 7mritchie de laet @de_laet_r Looking forward to next season playing for #LCFC can't wait
Carter The Boss Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Two strong signings I think, and more astute work from NP I can't wait for next season
FrankieADZ Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Money too tight... to mention.... so is it confirmed then now with De Laet saying hes just about signed
DanTheFox07 Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Looking forward to seeing this matty james, think he could be real coup for us!
TrentFox Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Like the fact (?) that we've made these signings early. Players get a summer to sort out accommodation, (if they are relocating), and all the domestics as well as a full pre-season of being with the squad. But perhaps most importantly, it would suggest that NP is getting the players he and his team have targetted, rather than "what's left" or "panic buys" as the transfer window nears closure. I'm also really interested in the positive comments I've read from the Reds on here. Fingers crossed for these two.
flowwolf Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Two strong signings I think, and more astute work from NP I can't wait for next season Ah but we said that last season.
the new guy Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 so has larnell cole signed as well?, i couldnt make scene of his trend !!
Legend_in_blue Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Couldn't give a monkeys how highly rated he is, Drinkwater, Corry Evans and Matthew James are exactly like one another, same style same type of player. Do you thrive on winding people up?
Basingstoke Fox Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Seems as though this is genuine. Very happy with this. THIS is the sort of signings we should've been after since the playoff defeat to Cardiff. Welcome along Matty and Ritchie!
Tielemans63 Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Looking forward to seeing these lads play for us. Good luck MJ & RDL!
Happy Fox Posted 15 May 2012 Author Posted 15 May 2012 Two very astute buys, these players are hungry for success money isn't their motivation... Onwards and upwards hopefully.
Grewks Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 De laet, james, marshall, danns, morgan, kasper, konch, nuge = motivation Imagine if we could add a winger like stewart, a playmaker like koren and a young defender like chester, and maybe heskey/kane. Future is bright.
1884Fox Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 News has filtered through that he signed at 4 o'clock. Congratulations you've got yourself a bargain. great couple of signings there
Walshy5 Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Question for anyone who has seen him play. Would you say he's more of a creative midfielder or defensive?
Grewks Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Question for anyone who has seen him play. Would you say he's more of a creative midfielder or defensive? If it was football manager - deep lying playmaker. Plays the Scholes role.
Happy Fox Posted 15 May 2012 Author Posted 15 May 2012 I really hope we sign a defensive midfielder as well because we always struggle when the opposition hits us on the counter attack.

Carter The Boss Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Ah but we said that last season. Ha true, we did! That said, it got to the stage last summer where I started to get nervous about the number of signings we made, and the amount of money. Plus some felt like panic buys. Next year will be immense
