I was thinking that yesterday whilst watching glen Johnson give the ball away every time he got it (including throw ins). I can only assume he's injured!?

Why put your summer on hold when someone's not going to pick you? It's Hodgson's loss, he's going into this tournament with a team much weaker than it could be. As soon as Lampard and Cahill were ruled out, he should have been on the blower to Carrick and Richards, regardless of non-footballing reasons. He's clearly trying to prove something to himself or to Liverpool. I was quite optimistic when he got appointed.

As long as they don't get injured or do anything stupid to get suspended they'll start at centre half every game. Not a big loss unless, as said, one of those two gets injured. If that happens we really are fúcked.

He should've been above Johnson in the pecking-order in the first place. I'd even choose Simpson above Kelly We're really unlucky with injuries at the worst time. As if we weren't miles apart from Germany, Holland and Spain before...
