He got battered outside Garlands apparently. The biggest gay club in Liverpool. Not sure what he was doing hanging around there at half 5 in the morning anyway. You couldn't make it up.

People congratulating someone on beating someone up (the very reason people don't like Barton)

Couldnt agree more. People dont like him for being a violent thug yet seem to love it when he gets attacked?

Although not the brightest thing he has done after recent events - going for a night out in Liverpool..

This idiot is a walking row, physically or verbally.

If you were him right now, you'd keep your head down... get away abroad on holiday with your misses and kid and keep away from likely trouble.

But not him.. out on the razzle late into the early hours, and when the inevitable comments come can he just ignore it and walk on?? nope........... Complete Berk.

Because each situation is judged on its merits, not as a black and white case.

The guys who have attacked Barton could well be massive scumbags too, there's no denying that. The difference here is the guy they attacked is also a notorious thug, so it's incredibly hard to feel sympathy for Barton, and yes, some people even take joy in the fact he's got what's coming to him. Big deal.

The irony of a racist taking the moral high ground.

I find it funny that people call him all the names under the sun when he assaults someone, but when it's Barton getting hit, that person deserves all the praise in the world!

Stop making points I agree with - it's not natural.
