If it stays like this then it will be as if that had happened really, as far as the league table goes. So look on the bright side.

If you own a big foreign club you can buy a club like Watford for what, like a million quid? Then just loan them a load of players which costs both teams nothing and then pick up the 120-150 mill pay off from promotion. Enjoy your success while it lasts though because the next logical step in the strategy as far as I can see would be to sell off the promoted club at a considerable profit, buy another bargain basement Championship club and repeat the whole thing. It's actually quite clever, I'm surprised more don't do it.
