Lamby Posted 6 April 2013 Posted 6 April 2013 We became the final Champ team to score a goal in injury time today, about time.
Super_horns Posted 6 April 2013 Posted 6 April 2013 Bit of a stalemate at the Vic. Both teams defended well and TBH neither looked liked scoring despite the attacking quality on the pitch. Have to win at POSH and Millwall next week..tough!
Leicfox Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Championship players - Out of contract. I'm not too sure how accurate this is and some of the players on the list must have club options to extend like Tom Ince for example but which if any would you take on a free to improve our team? http://www.transferm...s_GB2_2013.html

ScouseFox Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 na na na na na na na na na na na sylvan ebanks-blake
RowlattsFox Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Would take Marcos alonso, if that's reliable. I imagine we will sign baptiste as well. Waghorn? Is he out of contract?
Soar Fox Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Doubt that's reliable, if Tom Ince was out of contract in the summer surely someone would have already signed him on a pre-contract.
Simo86 Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Doubt that's reliable, if Tom Ince was out of contract in the summer surely someone would have already signed him on a pre-contract. Only teams outside of the English leagues can sign a player playing for an English club on a pre-contract. English clubs would have to wait until their contract is up.

Or could they only agree a pre-contract because he was from a team abroad?
Fox92 Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Ebanks-Blake still only 27!? I'd take him, really strong and knows how to score. Mick might want to tempt him to Ipswich though.

So say Udinese wanted to sign Ince on a pre-contract they could, but Liverpool couldn't. That's why English clubs sign players from the same country for a cheapish fee in January sometimes
StanSP Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Ebanks-Blake has only just started scoring consistently again this season, but then he went and suffered a broken leg. I don't want him as it will just mean another striker in Schlupp's way, and I really want Schlupp to play more (if he shuns Utd!). We can do so much better than Ebanks-Blake I think.

ADK Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 I wouldn't want any of those players (apart from Ince who will be in the prem).
Simo86 Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 I thought players coming to the end of their contract (June) were allowed to seek/negotiate with a new club from January 1st, I think its something to do with the FA. I'm lead to believe that you can't sign another player from England until they're in their last month of their contract. I could be wrong though.
MC Prussian Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Gary Bowyer's been called to Blackburn's owners: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22065236 I'm waiting for the day his face is used to promote Venky's over there. Looking at the bright side, he gets a free trip to India.
Happy Fox Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 Cardiff 1-1 Barnsley Millwall 1-2 Sheffield Wednesday
Super_horns Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 Sheff Wednesday safe and Barnsley are giving it a good go too. Shame us below Cardiff have messed up because they aren't exactly costing to the league in form.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 Had money on Sheff W tonight. Their form in 2013 has been decent i think especially recently. That and the addition os Stevie Howard Had money on Sheff W tonight. Their form in 2013 has been decent i think especially recently. That and the addition of Stevie Howard
Leicfox Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 I hoping Blackpool get relegated as it would serve Oyston right for not investing any of the parachute payments.
Happy Fox Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 I reckon Leeds will go down alongside Brizzle and Blackburn.

That and the addition of Stevie Howard Yep we've been in good form since the turn of the year Howard's been a useful signing to be fair 72% of possession for us today!
