Are they on international duty?

Some, but not all. It told me which ones were on international duty before i picked my squad. Weirdly I've got two regular Colombian internationals - one's available, the other isn't.

Seems strange; half my players just mysteriously greyed out. I'm probably missing something obvious, but it seems like a glitch.

Finally got through the training camp saga and ready to start new season now (2019-20). Still playing with Leicester, won the Champions League last year for the first time. But Man Utd won their last 10 games on the trot (or something stupid like that) to take the Premier League title, so that's the main aim this year. High league bonuses all round.

Mostly regens (Brazil, Denmark and Colombia good scouting grounds), but also got Witsel, Draxler, Barkley, Pogba, Baumann, Rodwell and Knockaert in the squad. A few old signings like Petrucci, Wooton and Guidetti also hanging around. Knockaert's a legend off the bench - got about 10 goals last season, mostly in the last 20mins.

Also just about to play the most unlikely European Super Cup final ever - Leicester vs Southampton, who won the Europa League! Love the realism!

It's alright when your youth coach goes and spends £300k on this lad for you isn't it?

Can't believe what I've just witnessed. I thrashed Barcelona 6-0 in the second leg of the CL semi final after having been outplayed by them in the group stages and nervously hanging on to a goalless draw in the first leg. Everything just went in and they had a measly two shots on goal. Absolutely insane squad they have too... I'm not likely to see anything like it again.

My Man U save is a little ridiculous now.

Haven't lost in 2 seasons in any competition, coming home with 5/6 trophies a year.

Beating Madrid, barca, spurs and sporting, The latter two becoming two of the biggest teams, 4,5,6-0 away!

Bored!

Exactly... I've somewhat turned it around now. The 'pressure was on me' apparently, but I managed four wins in a row. Climbed from 21st to 7th. Lost to QPR 0-1 (despite hammering them), then got a 0-0 draw at Bournemouth. Currently 7th still, so not to bad. Come off it now though, will continue tomorrow.

Went on a excellent run of losing only 2 games in 20 games! Climbed all the way to third, a point off of second. Anyway, played Charlton at home (second bottom) and lost. That seemed to knock me... Went on an inconsistent run, in fact I'm still in it, and now trying to hang onto 6th.

Best thing about being at Watford though is my youth system. I produce some very good players, and when all my squad is fit I play 6 academy products. Just started playing this young 17 year old, who came through my academy. In 8 games, he has scored 1 and assisted 5. Seems like we've produced another good player.

Got about 7 games left now. Really hope I can finish in the play offs, but don't fancy playing Hull because they are the best team of all 4.

In 2019/20 season and won the Champions League in the previous season beating Barcelona (4-1 on aggregate), Bayern (3-1 on aggregate), Real Madrid (7-4 on aggregate) and Manchester United in the final (3-2 AET) after getting a goal in the 93rd minute to take it to ET. Also won the FA Cup and League Cup a couple of times.

This season I've already won the European Super Cup beating Dortmund 3-2 and the Community Shield beating United 3-1.

Team at the minute is;

GK: ter Stegen

RB: Diaz (Regen)

CB: Dausch (Regen)

CB: Bridges (Regen)

LB: Diaz (Regen)

CM; Barkley

CM: Ramsey

CM: Alises (Regen)

AMC: Adryan

ST: Ademilson

ST: Lukaku

Ready for this then... (I'll just post a picture because I couldn't believe it)

watford.jpg

Made the play offs. Played Swansea. That image is small, so if nobody can see it, Swansea beat me 5-0 at Vicerage Road in the first leg. Game over.

Chairman (****) was like 'you could have done better in the league' (or whatever they say), so I resigned after beating Swansea in the second leg.

Got offered the Leeds job, and I accepted it. (They lost 5-0 to 'Boro in the first leg of their play off game as well lol).

Have you spent all 7 years in the Championship?

Have you spent all 7 years in the Championship?

No... I've only been Watford manager for three full seasons, after getting sacked from Fulham (unfairly after I won promotion with them).

First year my job was to survive (they were near the bottom when I come in), and we finished 14th.

Second year missed out on play offs by about 3 points.

Third year made play offs and lost.

Fourth year (as above), made play offs and lost.

Tell me about it!

Started at Rangers, got them back to the SPL... Left for Fulham (who had just been relegated), finished 2nd in the Championship, then in my first season in the PL I finished 10th (very good). The season after, went on a strange run of 10 games without winning which resulted in me getting sacked... Joined Watford about 3 months later, saved them from relegation. Missed out on the play offs the following season, but in the two seasons after that I made the play offs and lost both times... Just been appointed Leeds manager, so I'm hoping this is the season :fc:

I genuinely hate this game sometimes.  Having finally got it on the cheap I start a City save and over pre-season bring in 3 players to solidify the left wing and the centre of the park.  These signings gel incredibly well so that come the toughest pre season friendlies against Valencia and Osasuna we actually far surpass expectations and win both matches with some nice football (2-0 & 3-1).  Then the first game of the season arrives at Blackburn.  We go 1-0 up and all of a sudden the composed, smart football goes out the window and the players inexplicably keep passing to the full backs who proceed to punt the ball into no-man's land, either giving the ball straight to their defenders or sending it out for a goal kick.  To make things worse they decide they no longer want to tackle the other team so I can only watch slack-jawed as Blackburn walk the ball into the net 3 times and I have no idea why our playing style's changed so dramatically.

I have this, I just consolidated Dover's League 1 position with a brilliant switch to 5 at the back. We almost made the playoffs from the drop zone, it was going so well.

I decided to adopt the tactic during Pre-season and we beat Blackburn and destroyed the likes of Farnborough etc.

2 games into the season and we're -8 GD and 0 points, wtf?

Came 6th with St Etienne first season after falling from 4th in the final minute of the season, truly devastating stuff, Lille beat us 2-1 to go above us and send us below themselves & OGC Nice, no Europe for us.

Following year was very much transitional and I sold £7mil worth, also bringing in players for as much, Sadio Mane at £5mil being the main one, he was arguably the poorest player I signed based on performance, but we came third, sickening again as I was actually top with about 8 games left, Lille beat us again late on and ended up winning the league.

The next year, I was handed an underwhelming budget, have had absolutely no luck all year with constant injuries, fixture list handing me Lyon, Marseille, PSG & Lille all inside my first five games along with the 'Champions' League play-offs, it was a nightmare start and we basically never recovered. Lille are pissing the league and for the third year running have hit a crucial late goal against us, this time to nick a last minute 1-1 draw and put me under severe pressure, Valencia beat me 3-0 in the Europa League round of 32 and I was history, 10th in the league, sickener.

I've landed the Guingamp job. They're 17th, very tight down there, 8 games left and they're frankly a shambles, spending £160k a week on wages with a £110k budget, these shouldn't stay up, but I've won my first two games to my amazement - both fixtures that I failed to win using a far superior St Etienne side lol I've still got to go away there as well.

I downloaded the demo and started a version as City (on FMC move). This is the first new version of FM(/CM) that I've played in about 10 years or so... What. The. Fuq.

Back in tha day, I'd just immediately send scouts to Portugal and Sweden, stock my teams with cheap talent, use 4-1-3-2 to destroy the lower leagues, then switch to a 4-3-2-1 and win the Champions League every year. I couldn't get any decent player to sign, couldn't offload any big salaries, and was forced to bring in Jay fucqing Bothroyd as a panic buy because David Nugent was sucking ass. Injuries pile up. We crushed Millwall 5-0 at the Den, and beat leaders Hull 4-2, but a lot more often than not, we'd get shut out. 4-2-3-1? We'd have 60% of possession, outshoot teams 20-4, and lose. 4-4-2? Never scored. Switch to 4-3-3? Useless.

With Christmas approaching, we were down to 21st place and sinking fast... I couldn't allow myself to relegate Leicester, so I give up.

...and take over the Bradford City job, and buy the full version, of course. Different game, same damn addictive properties as I remember. I'm awaiting my activation key for Steam because the manual download system is so confusing.

Kept Guingamp up with ease lol Went for a very defensive formation admittedly but it's done the trick, we were sensationally seconds away from beating PSG.

It's going to be very hard to build on a squad that only has a budget of £110k a week, and I'm already spending £160k lol Most of them are out of contract though so going to start from scratch.

Ignore friendlies, I don't even play them, I have my AM take charge and just skip 'em.

What you're experiencing is your new signings AND the existing squad not yet gelling and not yet getting used to you and your football. It happens.

It takes a good half season for everything to click, really. If you've quality and tidy tactics it'll tell anyway but they made the bedding in process much harder than in previous years. ESPECIALLY if you picked non-league footballer as your history.

Started unemployed in a new career and got the job of CS Sedan Ardennes in late July. After 25 games or so, we're lingering in 12th place in the French second tier and I'm sure I'm only a game or two away from the sack after not winning in 9. Fortunately I've won the last 2 but I'm not sure how long it will last, just struggling again.

We've got plenty of centre midfielders and attacking midfielders with plenty of creativity, but I'm short on strikers. 4-2-3-1 has worked in the last couple of games, but I've not got faith in it. Just want to keep my job until the end of the season then rebuild in the summer, we don't have much money (no transfer kitty) so it's all free transfers. I'm optimistic for next season, I just need to get there!

With Bradford, we went on a tear in the 2nd half of the season, despite injuries, to shoot from 12th to 3rd with three games to go... Only to lose the last three games to finish 9th and miss not just promotion, but the playoffs entirely. :(

The club had some financial difficulties before I got there and I was having a lot of trouble signing players in January because of it. I've slashed the payroll from £56k (which should have been plenty enough for League Two, but most of it was wasted on garbage) to about £41k (budget is £50k). I've signed a bunch of young players, so I think we've got a good future now (when I got there, only one young player was worth our while). I still think the club will compete for promotion, but I may need another midfielder. I suppose I could loan a midfielder from the mighty Bristol City, which my club president signed a partnership with in his infinite wisdom. :/

What you talking about "ignore friendlies"?  They're your best opportunity to experiment with formations without having to worry about fvcking up.  You so crazy.
