LCFC FOX Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 I know its early but I was just wondering who you would play after yesterdays performance. I would drop nearly all of them. I would go for: Hart Walker Terry Jones Cole Walcott Gerrard Wilshere OX Chamberlain Welbeck Sturridge subs Foster , Green ,Smalling , Cahill , Richards , Baines , Parker, Lampard , Young , Adam Johnson , Carrol , Rooney
General Smuts Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 No idea why you've dropped Lescott who was one of the better performers at the tournament.
RobHawk Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 No idea why you've dropped Lescott who was one of the better performers at the tournament. Yeah the back 4 plus hart performed better than expected in my book! Even Glen Johnson looked like a football player and i don't usually rate him at all!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 No idea why you've dropped Lescott who was one of the better performers at the tournament. Aye, one of a small few who can come home without hanging their head.
ScouseFox Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 Aye, one of a small few who can come home without hanging their head. Bit harsh, bar Rooney and Young who were both bigged up to do great things and didn't, nobody failed to deliver what was expected of them and everyone gave it a go. Can't think of anyone other than the two mentioned who would genuinely be disappointed with how they've performed.
Tielemans63 Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 I'd bring Jack Rodwell into midfield to protect the back four. Both he and Wilshere can pass it and hold possession which would be a novelty.

With only a month to prepare QF's was the most anyone could expect. James Milner offered bugger all going forward but was good enough defensively for me to forgive him. And Jordan Henderson can suck a dick.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 Milner, Young, Henderson, Walcott, Carroll - All over rated and I would drop. Parker - Undervalued. The Ox - Given game time could have potentially been one of our players of the tournament. Wellbeck - Not ready for this stage yet. If we had a better attacking line up we could have competed and done well in this tournament. The defensive aspect of the team was near faultless.
Fox in the North Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 I'd keep Carroll and walcott as I think they could blend well
MrFox781 Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 Don't support england but I would try something different like a 5-4-1 or a 5-3-2 or 5-3-1-1. Id probably go for Hart Walker Smalling Terry Lescott Baines Gerrard Parker Wilshere Rooney Wellbeck.
ScouseFox Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 Not sure what Carroll did wrong at any stage? Sweden he was boss, scored our best goal of the comp and was generally really quite good. Ukraine he came on, ran into a few defenders, threw in a few tackles and if we'd tried to attack I'm sure he would've done more going forward than just hold the ball up. Last night he came on and much of the same, had the beating of anyone in the air, held it up when necessary, flicked it on when necessary etc, and didn't get any help from anyone. He'll keep getting better too.
Bert Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 No idea why you've dropped Lescott who was one of the better performers at the tournament. Or called in Danny Sturridge who is utter guff
darko2k7 Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 I'd bring Jack Rodwell into midfield to protect the back four. Both he and Wilshere can pass it and hold possession which would be a novelty. Agreed ! My team would be Hart Walker Cahill Lescott Cole Rodwell Wilshere OX Chamberlain Rooney Walcott ?? Forward ????
Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 Personally I'd be quite happy for Rooney to never play again for England. He is the new John Barnes. Anyone who is old enough will know what I mean, brilliant for their club, crap for England. What's that? 29 goals? I can name plenty of England players who had scored more goals than him in less games - even Crouch (who I would have taken for the reverse reasons - always seems to raise his game in an England shirt) has scored 22 goals and played almost half the games Rooney has. I know that Rooney isn't an out and out striker, but he gets a hatful regularly for Man Ure. What's his problem in an England shirt?
Tielemans63 Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 Or called in Danny Sturridge who is utter guff Agreed. He could be class it he wasn't such a selfish fecker. Everytime I've seen him play he's butchered chances by shooting from all over the place instead of passing. Can't stand it when PL players play with no awareness whatsoever.
Fox92 Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 When everyone is fit, I'd go for something like; Hart Richards -- Terry/Cahill -- Lescott -- Cole Gerrard -- Noble* -- Wilshere Chamberlain -- Bent? -- Rooney *In my opinion, its about time players like Mark Noble get called up. I'd really like to see him, in particular, given a few games.
Guest ttfn Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 Hart Walker Terry (race trial permitting) Lescott Cole Parker Gerrard Wilshere Walcott Rooney Oxlade-Chamberlain Beckford is class so he'll probably feature at some point.
Libertine Dream Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 I'm not going to go for starting 11s or even complete squads just players I think should be included in squads Hart Butland Walker Smalling Jones Lescott Jagielka Cahill Cole Baines Walcott Ox Wilshere Rodwell Cleverley Parker Gerrard Adam Johnson Young Welbeck Carroll Rooney Obviously not a complete squad but players I think should be included in future squads. I'd still have Lampard and Terry but I'd be easing them out slowly. Then players like Powell, McEachran, Wickham, Henderson, Zaha, Barkley would come in if they come on in the next few years
ScouseFox Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 Hart Walker Terry Lescott Cole That much almost definitely picks itself. Then God knows. Gerrard Wilshire Parker Walcott A Striker Ox? I still don't get the fascination with Oxlade-Chamberlain yet, but hopefully next season he will actually show some of this world class potential everyone keeps talking about, and if he is as good as people say (with yet nothing to show for it), he'll be included. Strikers will be one of Rooney, Carroll, Welbeck or Bent probably. Could maybe even drop Parker/Gerrard and make the one you keep sit with Wilshire and play Rooney just behind a striker in the sort of "4 forwards who can go wherever they like" Man City style formation. It's tough to call, that's for sure.
LCFC FOX Posted 25 June 2012 Author Posted 25 June 2012 Sturridge is still good. Had a quality season.
Father Ted Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 Hart Walker - Terry - Lescott - Cole Parker - Wilshere Ox - Gerrard/Rooney/Lampard - Walcott Rooney/Welbeck/Bent Something along those lines imo.
leicesterisme Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 Hart Richards Terry Lescott Cole Wilshire Parker Gerrard Ox Carroll Welbeck
Jaspa Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 Hart - Walker - Cahill - Lescott - Baines - Wilshire - Gerrard - Milner - Ox-C -Walcott - Carroll or Bent Just drop Rooney for a while, let him know he isnt guaranteed a start if he doesnt perform for us Give Walcott a chance to start, if crap drop I really hope Wilshere is the same type of player when he comes back, so much time out now its ridiculous; have they got him in a top secret lab giving him gene treatments or something ? This injury is taking the pizs Give Walker or Richards a go, and prepare for life without Ash-Cole
AyewJoking Posted 25 June 2012 Posted 25 June 2012 May as well keep the same back 5. Drop Young, have Gerrard supporting Rooney and bring in Wilshere if fit.
