ozleicester Posted 8 March 2013 Author Posted 8 March 2013 Does it matter? I'd rather die at 65 eating meat than at 85 not. Most would. Quality of life is what it's about. Quality of life is exactly what its about, quality of life for all. Life to years, not years to life oz - Living to 100 and being a dull old **** isn't what anyone sane would want. Live fast, die young and leave a good looking corpse. Is eating meat really what makes someone fun and not boring? Id support the live fast theory.. if it didnt involve killing others to do it. http://news.sky.com/...-frying-hamster Never got this pissed Hilarious, fvckwits killing and torturing animals, oh the hilarity. They are such interesting and funny people.
Guest MattP Posted 8 March 2013 Posted 8 March 2013 Quality of life is exactly what its about, quality of life for all. Bullshit, quality of life for us. We're the ones going to the moon, we're at the top.
I am Rod Hull Posted 8 March 2013 Posted 8 March 2013 I`v got a pork shoulder slow cooking in the oven, its been soaking in a spiced brine solution for 2 days and then treated to a dry rub of around 12 different herbs and spices. I love animals, I`v given this pig more love and attention than I do my mrs.

Never got bored of it.

I dunno why your even discussiing this with him, it's just more vegan bull shit, the article clearly states "Too much" and as I've said too much of anything isn't good for you E.G We've recently discovered a link between oral health and heart disease and also that too much citrus fruit can ruin your teeth........works with near enough anything I don't even see how a scientific break throughs finding out that Sausages and Bacon are bad for you has even made the news, I thought it was common knowledge that they were anyway .

It's great though watching they try and bring you the news as if you actually don't know.
marko Posted 8 March 2013 Posted 8 March 2013 Sausages, ham, bacon and other processed meats appear to increase the risk of dying young, a study of half a million people across Europe suggests. It concluded diets high in processed meats were linked to cardiovascular disease, cancer and early deaths. The researchers, writing in the journal BMC Medicine, said salt and chemicals used to preserve the meat may damage health. http://www.bbc.co.uk...health-21682779 You neglected to quote this "However a little bit of meat, even processed meat, had health benefits in the study". I presume you're off down the kebab shop for a large doner and chilli sauce now?!
MooseBreath Posted 8 March 2013 Posted 8 March 2013 Question for oz. Would you support us (humans) providing protective gear for likes of deer and other wild animals to protect them against being attacked and torn into shreds by lions?
OzFox Posted 9 March 2013 Posted 9 March 2013 I can't speak for ozleicester, but I'd be providing the lion with protective gear to prevent it being torn to shreds by Chinese herbalists
ozleicester Posted 21 March 2013 Author Posted 21 March 2013 more horrific treatment. Seriously what the FVCK is going on in the heads of these imbeciles? warning graphic... http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-03-20/police-asked-to-investigate-turkey-cruelty/4585350
MooseBreath Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 I'll take your refusal to answer my previous question as an admission of defeat and declare a victory for the normal people

MooseBreath Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 I fail to understand what you...and "normal people" have in common or on what planet you think you could possibly speak on their behalf You still haven't answered the question flower boy.
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 You still haven't answered the question flower boy. He's not answered about 50, he's just whittling now. Think the thread should be closed really, this is turning into more of an annoying, tiresome, campaign than a discussion now, not what the forum is for.
ozleicester Posted 22 March 2013 Author Posted 22 March 2013 You still haven't answered the question flower boy. teehee - "flower boy" oh how we laughed. No, however i do support the provision of assistance to humans who are suffering from intellectual retardation etc, i hope your carer is visiting you again soon. Im interested to know if you think that our current way of growing meat etc is acceptable and good for you and society as a whole? He's not answered about 50, he's just whittling now. Still, if there is a burning issue that you feel the need for me to answer, please feel free to ask it. Did you know that 25% (that means 1 in every 4 bits of fish you eat has it) of all seafood now carries some level of antibiotics in it...do you think that this is part of the reason that we have super bugs developing that cannot be treated by antibiotics what do you think we should do about this? .

ozleicester Posted 22 March 2013 Author Posted 22 March 2013 Do you think that maybe the fish ought to be grateful that their diseases are being treated now? and you can bet they arent paying for them.., bastard fish rorting the nhs!
MooseBreath Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 Quality of life for all, but you're happy for deer to be ruthlessly attacked and killed by lions. What an absolute joke. Pathetic. Quality of life for all, and you keep a kitten hostage. Hypocritical flower boy. Get yourself in order. You should be ashamed of yourself.

You've missed loads Iike your failure to answer why you're posting an article proclaiming Processed meat is bad for you (when it's TOO MUCH processed meat) when in that same article it says a small amount is good for you? If your going to post an article to inform us all about the dangers of eating meat shouldn't you be giving us all the information not just the bits that suit your arguement? Until you've got any evidence there is a link, it's a mute point. And I heavily doubt there is any evidence. How's that cat you've managed to give depression? Bought some tasty meat for him recently? I am sure the Australian cattle industry is grateful for your support.

Citations please. Even so though, if the bacterium are exposed to the antibiotics and some have the necessary mutations to impart immunity to that antibiotic, it matters not if we eat the fish or not, the bacterium would be exposed to the antibiotics in the environment anyway. The issue if that is true is how these antibiotics are getting into the environment, it has nothing to do with eating meat.

Apologies, i think ive misread the story - http://www.theage.co...0529-1zhfw.html http://www.ucsusa.org/food_and_agriculture/our-failing-food-system/industrial-agriculture/prescription-for-trouble.html but dont think for a minute that animals and fish arent being fed antibiotics... and there is significanrt questioning through out the scientific community as to the effects on humans and "superbugs" http://www.sciencedi...399077X04001829 ...Resistant bacteria that develop in CAFOs (confined animal feeding operations) can be transferred to the general human population via food. The government, public health officials, and physicians are increasingly concerned about foodborne diseases caused by Campylobacter and Salmonella bacteria. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC... ...Especially troubling is their use not to cure sick animals but to promote "feed efficiency," that is, to increase the animal's weight gain per unit of feed. These drugs are also regularly added to the feed and water of animals that are not sick in order to prevent diseases caused by overcrowded and unsanitary CAFO conditions. These nontherapeutic uses translate into relatively cheap meat prices at the grocery store...
