dog_4 Posted 29 July 2012 Posted 29 July 2012 Mark Davies! classy, skillful, keeps the ball and only english midfielder i can think of who skips past players with ease. Love him in the same midfield with Marshall.
Oxfordfox83 Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Any player? Zidane is somehow underrated-better than Diego and Pele for me. City player to re-animate: would love a Draper back in blue...
Jimbo Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Zidane Romario Cryuff Christiano Ronaldo Maldini Beckenbaur Charlton Iniesta I can't really decide..........

Finnegan Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Of my lifetime, Giggs, Bale, Nev Southall or the late Gary Speed. Oh and I'd swap Fuctas for Big John Hartson any day of the week.
fleckneymike Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 It's already been said but Chris "Magic" Waddle If he hadn't spent some of his best years in France he'd rightly be held in higher regard than Gazza
Nick Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Garrincha, Messi or Zidane........ failing that, Edgar Fooking David's.
Grey Fox Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Ferenc Puskas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferenc_Pusk%C3%A1s
marty78 Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 21 year old Paolo Maldini. We'll get twenty years out of him.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Our very own Gordon Banks. He saved so many "certain goals". If not Banks, then Pele, "The Black Pearl" Genious.
Mark_w Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Our very own Gordon Banks. He saved so many "certain goals". Good point, wasn't around back then but I'd love to be able to say I saw Banks play for Leicester. Or Shilton or Lineker for that matter. I'd probably go with Banks thinking about it.
Far Post Gerry Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Gazza, back in his late teens/early 20s. Pure genius; bit of a cliche but he looked like the ball was tied to his foot. Plus you could always rely on him doing something completely daft.
ballso Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Fernando Redondo for me. I remember watching him play for Madrid in the mid to late nineties and he was the best player I'd seen at that point (I'd only be ten years old or so). The trick he did against Henning Berg still ranks as one of the best things I've ever seen on a football pitch. Class.
VinceNoir Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Other than the Championship obviously, I've only really watched the Premier League. So I would go for either Bergkamp or Silva.
AyewJoking Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Imagine Zidane caressing delectible through balls for Waghorn.
