FoxesFan100 Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 20: Beckford. One can only hope this number will represent the goals he gets this season
Happy Fox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Knockaert's number will be 15 I presume when Peltier leaves.
NiftyFox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 20: Beckford. One can only hope this number will represent the goals he gets this season Aswell as Nugent:35
ballso Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Knockaert's number will be 15 I presume when Peltier leaves. he might have 24, the number he played in at guingamp . was gallagher number 7 last year?
GingerrrFox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 he might have 24, the number he played in at gueugnon. was gallagher number 7 last year? yeah looking at that list Gallagher and Peltier have been "demoted" in numbers
Hitesh Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Why on earth has Kasper got number 1? Madness Obviously because the amount of goals he will score this season!
Happy Fox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Obviously because the amount of goals he will score this season! Or the amount of goals he will concede
Petchy Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Surprised at Drinkwater having number 4, thought De Laet might have 4 and Peltier 2 but that's not the case.

Dan Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Drinkwater having 4 is an interesting one, quite like it actually. Vardy number 9, normally your main forward or target man's number, I was expecting that to go to Futacs whilst he has 33. Knockaert will be 24. He's 24 at Guingamp and that's ironically the lowest number we've not handed out. To be honest they're no big deal but you can't help but read into things when looking at them, for example Gallagher losing his number 7 shirt to Marshall.
JakeCurnock91 Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 What number will Heskey be then? 9 for Vardy then.. vardy first team then?

I usually agree with you but its pretty rare that a player gets his number replaced, I think its a pretty strong message from Nige to say what his thinking is regarding selection.

Well that's what I mean. You generally see the more iconic numbers like the first 11 ones handed out to regulars, so for Gallagher to almost be demoted to 17 says something. Love Marshall having 7 though, love Marshall full stop actually, what a class act.
HKFox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 If numbers are to go by. potential team then of Schmeichel, De laet, morgan, whitbread, konchesky, marshall, danns, drinkwater, dyer, nugent, vardy. In a 4-4-2. Maybe? Quite a strong team, lots of pace. looking forward to seeing Vardy play in the championship. Dont quite know if strong enough for promotion though with blackburn bolton and wolves having strong squads at the moment.
Happy Fox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 ritchie de laet â€@de_laet_r Just to let you know I'm now number 2 in the squad not 6
ealingfox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 I wonder what the process is? Clearly players are able to pick ones they would like but if two or more want the same number is it just simply handed out by the manager? Gallagher must be pretty pissed off, I know I would be, the message it sends out is undeniable.
RonnieTodger Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 If there was any doubt Pelts is leaving, then that's been deminished now. Disappointed that De Laet looks to be our first-choice RB but there's plenty of time. Thought Vardy would've had no.33 like at Fleetwood, leaving Beckford to have no.9 like at Leeds.
Dan Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Why would you be disappointed when you've never seen him play a competitive game for us? Beckford number 9, no chance, I still think he'll be off.
chili_con_carne Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 I just don't see where King fits in at all. He would expect to start every game and he's number 10 but drinkwater and danns i can't see being on the bench. Will be interesting. Unless it will be danns and king centre mid and drinkwater right mid, Marshall roaming from left mid.
Matt Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Wow, I never knew shirt numbers were such an interesting subject.
