Guest Bilo Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Think he was very much tongue in cheek with that comment, if you live in Lincolnshire it's kind of a standing joke.
purpleronnie Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Oh get real. I doubt they can spare officers for speed traps, and if they can, they are doing their jobs. Maybe if the government didn't penny pinch, they would have more cops for stuff like football matches. you think we need so many cops for games thesedays?
Larry_LCFC Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 you think we need so many cops for games thesedays? Not particularly but if the shit hit the fan and all the police are elsewhere, then what? They would get slammed for not providing cover. That said, I don't see a preseason against Lincoln as high risk.

Larry_LCFC Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 You get real ! I was having a laugh but your clueless. No it was you having a dig at the police for doing their job and now you are backtracking furiously. What's wrong? You get a ticket for speeding in your chavved out corsa? If I'm clueless, youre doomed.

Leicesterpool Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 The police do a hell of lot of work! you know sitting in their offices and cars drinking coffee all day.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 If there was going to be trouble tomorrow what is to stop it happening anyway. I'll bet any of the potential trouble makers have organsed a bus or train travel. What will the police do if they say **** it and go tomorrow anyway. Absolute loony decision by the Police. The police do a hell of lot of work! you know sitting in their offices and cars drinking coffee all day. Stupid, baseless coment to make. Just glad no one has been stupid enough to rep it.
Salieri Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 The police do a hell of lot of work! you know sitting in their offices and cars drinking coffee all day. What do you do? (apart from prolific poll making, of course).
Leicesterpool Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 I was joking, i respect the police but sometimes I do believe they could do that little bit more, like for one more foot patrols
bradfox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 this is a joke, cancelled night before. train ticket cost £23 only managed to get a refund of £3.50! police acting on "information" absolute bollocks. fans getting shafted again.
gw_leics772 Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 I can’t believe nobody has heard anything about this. I am from Hinckley and had heard that “a load of boys†were going for a pre arranged fight. It sounded like the something from the 70s but as I was planning on taking my young kids, I opted against it. I was told that apparently Lincoln hate us(news to me), and there was going to be trouble. Not sure I fully believed it, then heard from somebody in Leicester that he knew of about 200 “lads†going for trouble. I have no contacts in the baby squad, nor am I one of the boys, just innocent info in passing, heard at Hinckley match and then again from someone totally different that backed it up. Still surprising that it was called off but backed by comments in this thread about police at the Olympics etc, it all stacks up. My guess is the trouble will still go ahead as planned but less people will get pulled along with mob mentality, in which case, a good choice. The people who are/were going sound like the same type of people who only turn up for the games where there’s a chance of trouble. As an aside, I think the game will go ahead behind closed doors, maybe at Leicester as the players were already ready. Maybe we wont ever find out the result due to the uproar from the cancellation, but I for one think it was the right decision. If I had not heard anything, like the majority on here, and took my 3 year old for a day out to try it (would have been his first ever) and my 6 year old who’s been coming for a while, and they had even been close to any scenes like the celtic vid, it would have been far worse than missing a day out, annoying as it is. Hey just realised, this makes me an ITK, move over toffee fox and bert, (ps – this info was a fluke and I obviously only told you after the match was called off, so guess im just another shit ITK.)
Salieri Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 "A load of boys"? Chavvy Danny Dyer wannabee slimy, weedy, pathetic cvnts spoiling it for the majority of decent fans.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Personally i dont blame the Police. I dont think Lincoln had enough security measures in place, and then panicked when they thought more of us might be going than first thought, stewarding not be suffiencent. Bastards.

Guest Col city fan Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 I'm just pissed off cos I've just driven with the Missis to Skeg Vegas for a few days and we were both gonna pop back to Lincoln tomorrow to see the boys play. What we gonna do now? Drink too much and watch Jess Ennis on the tele I spose... Oh well... Things could be worse
gw_leics772 Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 langley, you ought to be my boss, anything more than 2 lines is too much. However through working 40+ hours this week already anything more than two lines and my brain switches off.
