4 good goals IMO.

There are some strange related videos at the end though. lol

Well I didn't want to attract any copyright attention by saying it is a football game, so it has no links or references to anything so hopefully it won't get taken down, so it will pick up other videos called mov 0062 with blank category. etc.

Yeah I understand what you did. Just thought it was funny what it threw up.

Regarding Matty James, he looks a bit overweight to me. But, united wanted him to stay but he rejected them as he was only offered a year contract, as well as him wanting to just play.

Both United and our back room staff rate him very highly. Let's not forget he's still a young lad and should improve.

Why is there need for so much discussion in this thread??

We won 4-0, good attacking performance, clean sheet, why should we debate anything??

Same team must be kept for morale, and why are we debating about what nugent tweeted?? Trying to create a story out of nothing as per usual.

One thing I would like to say is about Wes Morgan. Inspired signing who is a quality defender and IMO has very good distribution.

I can remember comments on here last season of "if you think Mills's passing is bad then watch Morgan", and "We will have the slowest back 4 in the league" but he has already assisted this season, and i can remember some cracking long balls last year. He also appears to have a good turn of pace for a big man.Very confident with him as captain, as he leads by example and never moans, but always supports players.

Take last night for example, always talking to moore, and you could see him advising and complimenting his performance.

Why are you debating in a thread you consider a pointless debate?

Do you think that we have those players this season?

I'm not sure. I think we're in a better position with regards to wide men, Marshall has looked quality since he's been here and Knockaert sounds promising, (but as with James I haven't seen him play) we'll have to see. I'd still like to have bought a speciality attacking, creative midfielder in the centre.

Whether it will work out for us remains to be seen, however IF we have the right players, I see no reason why 4-4-2 won't work.

Because we are going to be facing Peterboro', Charlton and Blackburn in 8 days stating on saturday.

All rather tougher games than Torquay I think you would agree.....

My point was why are we debating whether JB or Nuge will start up top??

Why we would change the team after a 4 nil win, not taking into account any injuries from now til posh, should not be considered. Especially given than nugent hasnt 'won his place' this pre-season.

This worthless comment just proves my point

My apologies, didn't realise you had recently had a sense of humour bypass.

Lighten up, it was meant to be a bit of fun. No harm done.

I am confident we can start the season well better than last season!, very important we start of well as it proved costly for our promotion challenge, but going away to Torquay and producing a good performance, yes I know they aren't the greatest team in the world but it gives me confidence that our away form this upcoming season will be better, can anyone at the game tell me how we approached the game, did we we press the opposition aka Southampton away last season?

I tried that but others picked it up and put it on their sites with a big fanfare of see the goals and when people clicked on their link it took them to my YT = Banned

So be careful if you want to keep a YT site.

Strange post Kitch....... :dunno:

Sure we have brought in Knockeart but Marshall has been with us a while and has looked ineffective in a number of games where he was largely isolated in the wide positions. Unless he is allowed to roam, could this still be the case this season?

Looks much better when he is allowed to play more centrally, which brings me neatly on to the second point, if Marshall has looked at his best through the center could he not be the 'creative midfielder' you are asking for?

Didn't realise that was the point you were making, apologies......

However, as long as it is not Nugent and Beckford I am not too fussed.

I'm assuming you expect Vardy to start, so try both combinations and see what happens..... :dunno:

Not too fussed if it is banned, I only use it for watching crappy videos, first time I've ever uploaded anything, I remember you got a few warnings first, so I'll see what happens, it was as much an experiment as anything else.

Got to start Vardy, he will be buzzing for the start of the season, and has IMO been our most dangerous striker this pre-season, especially considering where he has come from.

Christ almighty...

Marbella, do you ever stop?

We won 4-0 last night against a team that could have been a potential banana skin. It sounds like it could have been more than four.

Vardy opened his account, Morgan and Ben sound in tip top form and Lloyd continues to score.

What more can Pearson and his team do? You can only beat what is put in front of you.

Let's now push on and see how we look against better opposition. If its clear that there are problems with the formation then, ok we can discuss them.

But for now enjoy the fact that we look a better balanced, more well drilled side and get behind the team.

Bit of an over analysis has happened of last nights match I think, this is what happens when we have 3 months off

I disagree, I think he's looked good out wide and in central positions. He's certainly capable of taking players on and putting good crosses in, watch some of our goals towards the end of last season. There's an argument for saying he could play in the attacking midfield role, and he may well be used as that occassionally, but from what I've seen of him I'd rather he play out wide.

Time will tell.
