MooseBreath Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 If it wasn't for the fact that he is French I reckon I would have smashed one or two out over him already
Benji Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Weren't some people on here saying he wasn't fit enough to start/looked shattered after a 20 minutes sub cameo? Can't fault the lad at all, works hard, fast, good engine, flair, not afraid to shoot, has a final ball, can head the ball, good set pieces. Classy kid and seems to be revelling in the free roam role. Will be very surprised if someone doesn't come in and throw the money around in January.
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 I love his celebrations and passion! Especially after the 3rd goal yesterday, he loves it! Joking apart though, great player and only going to get better
dynamark Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Be interested to see how he reacts when teams try to rough him up a bit(as they are bound to).At the moment he seems pretty even tempered and able to handle himself.I got the impresssion he gives confidence to the others which is helping all the front 6
Corky Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Dyer coming off the bench is a good role at times. Look at yesterday, he was fresh and had the legs to run with Waghorn to set up Nugent. Had he been playing from the start it might've not occurred. I wouldn't do away with him totally, but Knockaert's passing is impressive, as was his crossing, and that for me gets him in the team right now.

I think Dyer has looked great n both games this week - just what we needed - When we usually go into our shells and look nervous in the last 15 mins and used to concede, we now bring on Dyers pace and automatically defenders have to stay deeper and can't press us as hard .... and if they do we hit them with pace and finish the game off. It's a great weapon to have on the bench.
Happy Fox Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 I couldn't understand NP's reluctance not to play Knockaert, but I guess he was just bedding him in to the demands of the championship, with Dyer coming off the bench we have got a good option to close out the remainder of games now from a winning position as opposed to conceding pressure, I guess Futacs is another option to relieve pressure when coming off the bench we shall soon see if this is to be the case.
kingfox Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Best winger we have had at this club for years, yes it's early days but Knockaert is just sensational, too good for the Championship, the reason we will do well this season will be down to him. The confidence the team gains, from him on the ball is just a delight to watch. His celebration for the third goal like someone said, was just amazing, he started that attack by heading it off the line, St Ledger getting stuck in and passing it to Waghorn, great pass from Waghorn to Dyer then Dyer to Nugent, one of the best counter attacking moves I have ever seen by a Leicester team, all starting with a header off the line by our smallest player. The kid is quality, and needs to start every game, teams won't be able to handle him this season, his tricks are too good. I like Dyer but there is not a cat in hell's chance he is getting played now, Knockaert all the way give him a free role and he will help us win a lot of games.

kingfox Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 I was going to put that, but we have had some good loan defenders, that I would put on par with Knockaert, those being Kyle Naughton and Miguel Vitor.

I assume that SSL's pass was actually a miscued attempt to kick the ball at Nigel because they had a big bust up, and Waghorn's "pass" was just him trying to control the ball, and Dyer's "pass" was actually a really shit shot. Because these players are rubbish and I just don't believe we are capable of playing anything other than boring hoofball under NP...
marbelladave Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 this Except of course that he is not and does not play as a winger......

Except of course that he is not and does not play as a winger...... He is a winger by right, yesterday he was just given the free role and played that role with perfection Spurs and Benfica did have two good player in them... not ours though. We still had them on our books though, Naughton and Vitor were too good for the Championship like Knockaert. Those three players are the players I have enjoyed watching the most in a Leicester shirt for a good number of years, probably since Iain Hume.
Austin Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Someone please start a "Hide Knockaert" thread .. Just like the Schlupp one!

He has started 3 serious games this season, Two for us and one U21 international. In all three he played as a central attacking player.....

Nothing like a classic foxestalk knee-jerk overreaction to a few good performances
Babylon Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Nothing like a classic foxestalk knee-jerk overreaction to a few good performances A couple more of them and you'll be on the bus as well.
Corky Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 I saw one of our players slide on the floor Dickov-style out of the corner of my eye. Was it him?
kingfox Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Nothing like a classic foxestalk knee-jerk overreaction to a few good performances It's called being positive, I doubt Knockaert will suddenly turn shit. Those performances have all been top draw, nothing to overreact about, the guy is just simply sensational, and was the difference in the Burnley and Hull games.
Haydos Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 A couple more of them and you'll be on the bus as well. Maybe, maybe. My point was that I've seen less superlatives used when describing a classic Messi performance. He is exciting but this is always what we do, look at the current Ben Marshall thread for example. After everyone jizzing over him for a few weeks suddenly everyone's concerned about his performances. It's just indicative of this site at the moment, think I'm only entertained if I can laugh at the posts in the Leicester forum otherwise I'd just cease to read it which would be a shame as there are still a lot of down to earth, intelligent posters that I enjoy reading football posts from.
