Weak Leicester side?

Just dont think that this is the strongest side that LCFC have fielded in the past few years. Its not bad, but its certainly not a great side. We need at LEAST one centre back to replace Whitbread, because the guy's not great, and Bamba was in a differant league to him. Also, think we need a Defensive/Holding midfielder, as we've not had a decent one since Yuki Abe.

Thoughts?

I agree with the defensive midfielder point.

But are you a Leicester fan? I swear you support United...:ph34r:

Pearson doesn't like glory supporters ya know! :pearson:

Maybe, but still think we need a bamba like player

Wes Morgan is fulfilling that role haven't you seen his marauding runs recently certainly got the Bamba gene in him. lol

How can you possibly judge Whitbread on one game when he wasn't even fit?

And Bamba may have had good feet but was he lacking in almost all other attributes that you want in a cb. He was a liabilty.

What does that mean? Good tackling physical presence like Morgan maybe.

Or a player you never really know what he's going to do? Because I don't understand why we need that.

Yes he wasn't the most convincing centre backs...

Bamba player as in, has a bit of skill in him, international CB.

Im not rating Whitbread after one game, i just dont think he'll suit our play

The thing that really makes me mad about Leicester City fans are the type that don't go to 90% of games, then they turn up to 2 a season and suddenly think they know all about our squad and can comment and criticise. No doubt you'll make an appearance as a season ticket holder when we get back in the Premiership though! Where were you when we were shit?

You're 14, it's not your fault. I blame your parents.

I'm fairly sure this is a wind up, im positive it is, isn't it? surely?

lol....

I'm tempted at this juncture to start a poll on who our best centre backs are/were....

No, I'll exercise self restraint...

Mate, I'm 14, I've had a season ticket for the past two years, I'm not saying we're a bad team, good enough for play offs, just that If we get promoted, how can we cope with the big teams?

Whitbread will be a class signing,

Looking forward to hopefully agreeing with that. Don't know what he's like in the air but he's a big unit. Didn't look tiny standing next to Futacs at HT on Sunday. 6'2" according to Wiki .... we certainly need to be a bit more dominant in the air in both boxes.

Yuki Abe what a legend, but saying since Yuki Abe makes it sound like we haven't had a defensive midfielder for years, he only left a couple of months back.

This side isn't as strong as the one, which had Naughton, Vitor and Yakubu etc... but it's still decent in some areas.

Wes Morgan is a fantastic signing, one of our best signings for a while.

But the centre of midfield is still a bit of a worry, while we need to add to the defence because we have no back-up if Whitbread gets injured, and we have no back-up at left back.

However Pearson is happy with the squad, so I suspect the squad will stay the same until January.

Don't get it...

We've had star players over the past 2 years

From an 'all-star' loan team that played well for a sum total of 3 and a half games.... then switched tactics to signing the best players from other Championship clubs, who quite frankly were collective awful, just not quite as bad as the Levein/Kelly/Holloway years.

Both teams finished mid-table.

Give me what we have now any day of the week, players who may not be as great individuals but know how to perform as a team, sure it's not perfect yet but it looks like we have a chance of being as consistent as we were since Pearson was last here, but with better players like Kasper, Nuge, Knocky, Marshall

And Bamba? He's not fit to wipe Wes Morgan's arse, never mind lace his boots.

By having a player who the Norwich fans rated as their best CB in the Premier League, and who they expected to follow Lambert to Villa instead of a defender who liked to try and dribble the ball from one box to the other?

Whitbread isn't good enough because of one bad performance in the Capital One Cup? Give it a rest mate, Norwich and Millwall fans say he's quality but his main drawback is injury not defending.

A centre half making marauding runs up front, giving the ball away 50% of the time and costing us numerous goals all the time because of his appalling positioning.

Just what we need back.
