"Nonce" has also been explained as "Not of normal criminal element", meaning a criminal committing such offences that either disgust regular criminals, or cannot be explained by virtue of the offender's state of mind. I think by "made up" he means it's a bacronym - the word was already in use and the acronym was made to fit it. A classic example is posh (port out, starboard home).

The exchange never occurred. That said, rumours such as this have been going around for some years. From what I've read there are a few women coming forward with these claims. That they've waited until he's dead to speak out isn't a huge surprise. Sex abuse victims are typically frightened of reporting the crimes committed against them. It must be even worse when the perpetrator is a well-loved celebrity with plenty of money to employ lawyers and public relations experts to dispute the claims.

He was a very odd man but that doesn't make him a sex offender. I'm sure there will be a lot of speculation but he's dead now so we may never know.

And its also amazing how people have blind loyalty to someone they actually know nothing about.... I guess we should all just watch the program....
