Webbo Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 lucy manning â€@lucymanning ITV News has successfully overturned an injunction obtained by TV celebrity Freddie Starr. Cheers. I watched the programme last night and I must say it's a while since I've been so angry about anything I've seen on TV. There's no doubt in my mind that Saville was a sleazy cvnt, and worst of all he's got away with it.

If some of the other allegations that are floating around are true, this is only the tip of the iceberg.

There's no doubt in my mind that Saville was a sleazy cvnt, and worst of all he's got away with it. I can't quite get my head around the fact that plenty of educated people (journalists, producers, etc) have seemingly turned a blind eye throughout the years and allowed him to get away with it. If Freddie Starr's been named, it's imperative that those with information come forward so that a police investigation can take place rather than trial through gossip and mud slinging. He needs to be charged or cleared.
flowwolf Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Why not bring out a T shirt with this slogan ---- VILE AS JIMMY ( picture of him smoking a Tampon ) HOWS ABOUT THAT THEN.

I am Rod Hull Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 very tasteful... The tampon or the t-shirt?
THEFATBASTARD Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Listening to savile trying to defend glitter made my skin crawl...
flowwolf Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Listening to savile trying to defend glitter made my skin crawl... It was his foreskin that used to crawl. The real sickness about all this is that so called celebrities all must have known about him but did nothing . They are all saying no comment or saying we never mixed outside show business. But of course it wasn't their Daughter was it . Fvcking double shame on them.
THEFATBASTARD Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 I wish somebody had something on jim davidson and paul fookin daniels..
Saxondale Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Janet Street-Porter on Newsnight has basically just said that Saville used the fact that he raised lots of money for charity as a bargaining piece for keeping hush his noncery.
Vacamion Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 I'm sorry, but the panel and audience of Question Time have turned it into an "I was abused more than you" competition. I felt especially sorry for the woman whose husband in the audience volunteered that she had been abused as a child, in what seemed to be an attempt to add weight to his pronouncements about Jimmy Saville. I mean, no one has anything to be ashamed of, but do you think the poor lady really wanted her hubby to announce it on the BBC?

I couldn't believe that either, unless she has told everyone in her social circle she will surely be devastated at that, the way he spoke he didn't seem to realise he was going out to the nation.

Porter made me angry, if she knew about it, and the way she talked about she seemed to want everyone to think she had known about, and everyone knew about it, why the fvck did you not fvcking do something about? Oh you were a young girl in a man's world, well you're not any more and haven't been for a good couple of decades. Maybe you were scared at the time but since then you have made a very good name for yourself as a reporter. Oh you were abused as a kid, well you should fvcking know how it feels and done everything you could to expose this horrendous and deep rooted abuse in light entertainment that you sat there smugly denouncing. Well fvck you, and everyone else who knew about it and did nothing to protect their own career. They might as well have lead these young girls to his dressing room themselves. Greedy self serving cvnts.
Parafox Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Micheal Barrymore, step forward??? There must be many more egotistical arseholes in showbiz circles who think they can do what the hell they like with whoever they choose and be above the law. They cover each other luvvy arses.

Agreed ,but why?If one of my mates was to do something horrendous like that(which I very much doubt)I wouldn't think twice about reporting it.How do people's minds work and how can they live happily with that on their conscience ,I can understand the kids/ teenagers not saying anything for many many reasons from being scared, embarrassed ,depressed and the fear of not being believed by not only an adult but a famous adult which the media and public thought was god.It makes my blood boil just as much, with them keeping hush affecting the kids and not their precious careers and the inner bloody circle of show business .This is of course if it is proved, but it would be one hell of a sick joke if it wasn't .

Porter was effectively saying that all sorts of 'inappropriate' stuff was going on, that other people knew about it but said nothing. Although as I recall she did try to say that she didn't know that kids were involved?

Maybe it's a fear of guilt by association. Their main selfish focus is on their own careers. Their ego is the dominant factor in their behaviour and thinking.
