You had to be CHAMPIONS of your country to enter the completion when we won it, now you can be as low as 5th in the premiership to get in. It no longer deserves the Champions title!

No you can't be 'as low as 5th', because if you don't finish in the top 4 then the only way to gain entry is by winning it, so you can finish as low as you want domestically - a method that Forest must have used, because you only won one domestic title......

Forest gained entry to the European Cup in 78 by being Champions of England! Forest gained entry to the European cup in 79 by being Champions of Europe! Dexter wont go to Leicester, because were richer than you :-)

Pearson will laugh again saying its total garbage like he did with Jones and everybody moves on. Blackstock is OK, but not good enough to get into our side, and if he doesn't improve us which it wont, then its pointless. And judging by the facts hes netted once this season, 8 times last season and 5 the season before, hes hardly a worldbeater in the championship is he.

ADK Posted 27 October 2012 Posted 27 October 2012 I don't think we'll be buying people from within this division. That isn't Pearsons style. We bought Westley but that was because Forest at that time were in financial uncertainty and badly needed abit of quick cash to balance their squad. We got him for 1 million and he may well be the best defender in the league and a fine captain too. That is money well spent. We put in a bid for Sharp because he had a buy out clause that meant we would have only paid 1.8? Million which is not lots for a proven goalscorer at this level. Pearson isn't usually the kinda guy who pays the going rate or above the going rate for proven players, he prefers to rely on the talents of Walsh to find prospects with potential.
