Forest Post Match 2-2

Recommended Posts

Just not clinical enough. Not to jump on the Waghorn bandwagon but can't help but think what could've been if he were in form/we had a different striker in the positions he was in. But he generally appeared to have a good game today.

Hard to be disappointed with the team, played very well and in total control until the penalty. Whitbread should never have gone to ground, but he did win the ball. The handball wasn't that blatant and happened very quickly. Two 50/50s went against us. Story of much of the season so far.

for once i can agree that Dyer was quality! if he was consistent he would be premiership standard easily, the ref was shocking, that was never a penalty in a million years, you get the ball first then the man, thats what u get taught as a kid. ref robbed us...yet again

Deserved to win but combination of a lack of killer instinct and poor refereeing cost us.

Dont like blaming officials but given how anaemic Forest were, those penalty decisions have massively influenced the outcome.

Schlupp MOTM, really promising.

Destroyed them for 90 minutes. Disgusting refereeing decision cost us an easy 3 points, though the tackle was slightly reckless.

However a massive concern is that once Nugent went off, we never looked likely to score, and it seems to squad felt the same way too. A hugely disappointing result considering how much we needed to get back to winning ways. :(

He played as well as can be expected, but he shouldnt be in a side trying for promotion. Just simply not good enough.

Schlupp, Dyer excellent... Waghorn too, but needs a goal.

Whitbread liability going through a player in the box, if he was going to do that he could have done it outside the box when the ball first arrived.

Ref missed handball whch should have seen us win a pen.

Overall impressed with the way we controlled game against a supposedly good side, although I didn't see that in them at all...

I dont think you can really moan at Waghorn - his chances missed were really unlucky. Okay, the kind of tap in one, he couldve took sooner, but if he hit it and the forest player who was sliding in had blocked it (which looked likely) I'd be more annoyed than a clearance off the line. The header was just a wonder save by Lee Camp, it was on target at the end of the day so we cant really complain

Whitbread and generally poor tracking cost us for the first but we had plently of chances (Mr. Waghorn). Shocking decision for their penalty but I'm sure some will find a way of blaming Whitbread for that as well.

We have only ourselves to blame as we had the chances when the game was 2-1 to finish it off and put Forest out of sight. The penalty decision was wrong as Whitbread got the ball but again Vardy's penalty against Blackpool was exactly the same scenario and was also the wrong decision but we weren't moaning then.

The point is we can blame the ref as much as we like but if we don't finish games off like we should've done we put ourselves in situations rightly or wrongly that can effect the result by the stupid decisions the officials make.

Some beautiful football being played though, yet again. If the league was decided by performances we'd have a 100% record (pretty much), unfortunately its not so we need to look at why are performances aren't being rewarded.

Is Pearson having a laugh with Lingard? He is nowhere near ready for first team football on that showing. Ferguson must have been pissed when he compared him to Tigana lol

Pearson has a week to get a striker in, our lack of ability up front has seen us in relegation form we'll be mid table if he doesn't add some quality.

Waghorns general play was fine today but his finishing was the difference between 3 points and 1. I fear for us if Nugents done his shoulder.
