Jakemoore Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 None of the players should be out clubbing. They're professional sportsmen and their physical condition relies on tip top conditioning, night clubs aren't healthy environments for young, wealthy and successful footballers. On the other hand, I can see why they would go out together, they're clearly a tight group which is great. But perhaps the cinema at lunch time would be a better outing for them? How many hundreds of players get accused of wrong doing from people looking to make a few bob of their celebrity status....it's simple, stay away from these places and you'll be fine.
Libertine Dream Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 George Taft had the right idea. Out in Manchester Saturday night with girls from take me out. His mate was on it, wasnt he?

Why should they be any different to anybody else? Its healthy for them to do normal things, they just have to be abke to handke that extra attention and understand the risks
Jakemoore Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 Why should they be any different to anybody else? Its healthy for them to do normal things, they just have to be abke to handke that extra attention and understand the risks I agree, but footballers prove time and time again that they can't handle it. Seasons can turn on events off the field as well as those on it!

I'd rather they didn't go cinema at lunch time on a Saturday. They're a group of young lads who've gone out to celebrate a good day at work after quite a long week I'd imagine. After a long week at work I'll go out and have a decent time with my mates at the weekend, does that make me any less professional at what I do? No. If I couldn't unwind once in a while the pressure would probably do me in and I'd probably perform poorer at work. We don't even know that Tony did anything wrong. He hasn't been charged yet, so clearly they haven't got sufficient evidence to do so at this stage.

Kitchandro Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 it's simple, stay away from these places and you'll be fine. Agreed. If they'd gone to a decent club instead of an arsehole infested craphole like Republic, they'd probably have avoided these shenanigans.
Prospero Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 Leicester City footballer Anthony Knockaert has been arrested and bailed following a public order incident at the weekend. The French winger was arrested at about 03:15 GMT on Sunday in Gravel Street, Leicester city centre. Leicester City FC said it was investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident. Mr Knockaert moved to Leicester from French team Guingamp this season. He has since played 21 games. He played 80 minutes on Saturday, when Leicester beat Derby County 4-1. Leicestershire Police confirmed that a 21-year-old man was arrested at 03:15 GMT on Sunday and has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries. A Leicester City FC spokesman said: "We are conducting a full inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident. "As a result of the ongoing police process, we are unable to make any further comment at this time." (BBC news) BBC news
Ozwin Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 Missed this topic. So what's allegedly happened then? BS stories not welcome thanks.
cuddly ken Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 The usual overreaction from the Nick Nick brigade. Had it not been a footie player it would of been a few sharp words and a couple of tickets for the PO mens ball.
ozleicester Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 Squirrels forget where about 50% of the nuts they’ve hidden are. That's it now. You've been spoilt. I call bullsh1t!!..... surely the other 50% are attached to the 50% they find.
kyleolly Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 If he's out in Leicester after 3am he's asking for trouble I once got arrested and banned from the city centre for a week for throwing a bit of cucumber from my Tj's burger on the floor!!!

Soar Fox Posted 4 December 2012 Posted 4 December 2012 His mate was on it, wasnt he? Yeah. He was boring up until he started talking about Nando's then his eyes lit up.

I think you are confusing going out for the night with getting drunk. Not every footballer who spends the night 'clubbing' gets drunk. some do for sure... but not all.. and that links in to your second comment... I agree, but footballers prove time and time again that they can't handle it. Seasons can turn on events off the field as well as those on it! For every time footballers are arrested on nights out im pretty sure you could count 10,000 nights of them not getting arrested. I mean seriously... how many footballers can you name who have been out and got drunk this season and been arrested? Compared to how many professional footballers there are in this country, and how often they go out, i'd wager that the odds suggest they are actually pretty well behaved. He's not robbed anyone, he's not raped a girl... He's knocked the camera out of someones hand who asked permission to take a photo and wasnt given it. In my books you dont have to be drunk to do that... just very very annoyed. Right or wrong.. to blame it on 'clubbing' and assuming he was drunk isnt really fair... We've just had an NFL footballer over here shoot his girlfriend and then himself. Surprisingly, he was neither drunk nor in a club at the time...
MPH Posted 4 December 2012 Posted 4 December 2012 American footballer. I was kind of hoping the NFL part would of helped...

Captain... Posted 4 December 2012 Posted 4 December 2012 I fear this could be the end for him tbh when you take into consideration Pearsons stubborn zero tolerance policy! I was wondering when this type of crap would get spewed up. Name one time when Pearson has dropped someone for off the field behaviour? SSL was pissed out his tree at some horse race and got thrown out, was in the side the following day. Pearson is not some sort of tyrannical joyless dictator, he will have a word and move on.
Mark_w Posted 4 December 2012 Posted 4 December 2012 Name one time when Pearson has dropped someone for off the field behaviour? Wayne Brown. But he deserved it.
The Don Posted 4 December 2012 Posted 4 December 2012 Someone else has said they saw him pissing up a door too? allo allo
Captain... Posted 4 December 2012 Posted 4 December 2012 Wayne Brown. But he deserved it. I thought is was more because it came out in the dressing room and affected morale, which to me is a footballing, but yeah I see your point. I meant more youthful hi-jinx than actually being a racist.
