Bettsj2 Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 One of the most underrated tunes of all time. I still smash it out of ny car with the windows open in urban areas to this day. Most people don't know what the hell is happening but I will always get a few knowing looks from the cool kids. Definitely the most effective way to earn instant respect. He was actually on Later with Jools Holland once. I remember it being pretty good?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 I know it's not to do with a club in Leicester during the 90s but I just stumbled across this which says Futacs and Knockaert were on opposing sides in an international youth match the summer before last: http://frenchfootballweekly.com/2011/06/07/france-steal-a-point-off-hungary/
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 I met an ex policeman recently who claimed to have arrested Morrison in town once, he's now a security manager a B&Q. Can't remember whether it was to do with a gun or pulling out a knife. Not sure if he meant a knife literally or whether it was code word for peeling back his foreskin in a public place. I loved his album
Fox in the North Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Pulse changed it's name about 6 or 7 years ago, not sure what it's called now. The clubs in Loughborough are always changing names. The only two that never change are Echos and Vice Versa Oh Echos, what a place
Saxondale Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Is it still called Wild? Vice Versa changed, must be at least 10 years ago now. Can't remember what it used to be called though, I'm sure it began with a B and was a sports bar with a little night clubby room at the back called "the zone" I once got forcibly ejected from Vice Versa for the crime of being punched in the face repeatedly by a bouncer. Wankers!
SeattleShane Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Busters, memories. Before that it was Chaplins down stairs and a Berni Inn upstairs up until 1990ish, Busters opened in 92. Purple nasties and pints of green death in the Bitter End at 16, top nights out. Remeber it well, had a bar downstairs as well. Used to sell cheap coctails.
Raj Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 So was the c.unt arrested or not?? I aint reading 20 pages of shite to find out a load of bollox.
loAf Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 ah it was jaycees and then sector 5 (septic dive)/alkatraz for me. what with me being so cool in my youth and such. god i miss that place, then the 2am kabab at USA next door and waiting for the inevitable scrap with the peeps coming from the other side. happy days
Guest MattP Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 So was the c.unt arrested or not?? I aint reading 20 pages of shite to find out a load of bollox. Yep, taken to Charles Street and then bummed by Mark Morrison.
Mack Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 So was the c.unt arrested or not?? I aint reading 20 pages of shite to find out a load of bollox. Yes mate. Some div was in his face with a phone taking photos and he got fed up and pushed the blokes arm / phone away. Crime of the century.
rico Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Don't remember that but him and his lot were quite aggressive. Then again the lot I used to mix with back then were just as bad. He was in court for a loads of stuff wasn't he? Well, when he turned up, Return of the Mack was the bollocks though. Mark Morrison sent someone else to do his community service for him, think it may have been a pygmy!
Guest MattP Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Mark Morrison sent someone else to do his community service for him, think it may have been a pygmy! I heard it was Lawn Jockey.
foxfanazer Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 For a stocky white Guy. I did quite a good impression of him singing that song. At least I thought so at the time. Stopped doing it now. probably for the best
Jimbo Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Busters, memories. Before that it was Chaplins down stairs and a Berni Inn upstairs up until 1990ish, Busters opened in 92. Purple nasties and pints of green death in the Bitter End at 16, top nights out. Busters! That was it, oh the nights I spent in there Oh Echos, what a place Echos! Never wear your favourite shoes to Echos, and make sure you wipe your feet on the way out I once got forcibly ejected from Vice Versa for the crime of being punched in the face repeatedly by a bouncer. Wankers! A friend of mine was once forcibly ejected from there too for standing on the stairs. The fact that he had only stopped because someone in front of him had stopped to talk to someone else didn't seem to bother the bouncers. The most amusing thing about it was that they seemed to remember him for ages and wouldn't let him in for sometime after it.
BlueBlue Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 I'd wager that being Futacs in the background It's like La Magna all over again! Is that Wigston La Magna.
notnow john Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 The good old days. Nostalgia is not what it used to be.

THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 My sister entered one if his talent shows. We all know what sort of talent he was after and it wasn't singing. I have always wondered why my neice is half cast with a passion for fried chicken.
The People's Hero Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Personally, as an aside, I think apes are magnificent creatures.
Huuuuuume Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 It was Euston Street he was taken to. I'm a solicitor and was there at about 4am on another case. Officers were being d!cks to AK so I tried my best to intervene and offer some 'free and independent legal advice. AK was upset (naturally) but coppers were just being ars...coppers.
