The only two that never change are Echos and Vice Versa
Soar Fox Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 These still play for Advance Courriers? Reece does now and again. Stu doesn't.
RonnieTodger Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 No I wrote That as I am completely out of touch with bars, clubs in Leicester. I have Not been intown for a beer for a year or two. Apart from Time bar. Yeah I only realised that after reading again, so I updated it. Sorry.

Basement for acid, ground floor for pulling and upstairs for passing out!!!! The Pailais was "The Studio" in my day!!

The only two that never change are Echos and Vice Versa Is it still called Wild? Vice Versa changed, must be at least 10 years ago now. Can't remember what it used to be called though, I'm sure it began with a B and was a sports bar with a little night clubby room at the back called "the zone" Used to love being 16 years old in Krystals too, cuz I was well cool innit. Always has a Ben Sherman shirt on, with trousers and shoes, otherwise there was no way you were getting in. Also Zanzibar when it first opened with it's huge dance floor that doubled up for use in the roller disco! It was in Zanzibar that my body decided it could no longer accept Jack Daniels, and after copius amounts of it that particular night I was violently ill and have not been able to stand even the smell of it since. Was in town Saturday night, my first night in town for a good few years. Got very drunk. Anyway, this arrogant little french **** knocked my phone out of my hand. Don't know what happened to him after ......
Zingari Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 i remember when it was a bus depot!!!!! You were guaranteed to get a cheap ride back then.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Branighans was the place to be in the 90s. - Classy joint

Don't know what happened to him after ...... Vice Versa that's a blast from the past. I only latched onto Krystals when it became Creation, was in there three times a week minimum, brilliant times, had my first nosh in there as well near the racing machines at the back, went absolutely all over the poor girl, she was fuming. Dance room until 1am then into the cheesy room for a pull. Top Stuff.
Guest MattP Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Branighans was the place to be in the 90s. I remember my mate calling Mark Morrison a 'black midget' in there, was an interesting 5 minutes afterwards.

Used to sell cans of red stripe for a quid cheaper than pints. We'd go there after a few in the Bitter End or Peggys
Captain... Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 I remember my mate calling Mark Morrison a 'black midget' in there, was an interesting 5 minutes afterwards. Wasn't it the krystals queue where Mark Morrison stabbed some kid for having a go at him and his crew for queue jumping?
Guest MattP Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Wasn't it the krystals queue where Mark Morrison stabbed some kid for having a go at him and his crew for queue jumping? Don't remember that but him and his lot were quite aggressive. Then again the lot I used to mix with back then were just as bad. He was in court for a loads of stuff wasn't he? Well, when he turned up, Return of the Mack was the bollocks though.

There you go - new chant for Ritchie De Laet Ritchie De Laet - it is, Ritchie De Laet - c'mon ...

At least I thought so at the time. Stopped doing it now.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 I hope Anthony baguette-cock enjoys prison the little thug. For me, what he did was worse than rape and wiping his shitty crack with some 20 pound notes. You won't get away with this Anthony, not on my watch.

Before that it was Chaplins down stairs and a Berni Inn upstairs up until 1990ish, Busters opened in 92. Purple nasties and pints of green death in the Bitter End at 16, top nights out.
mrmanns84 Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 Love it how this thread went from knockaert being arrested to a history of clubs and bars within the Leicestershire area quality!
BunkMoreland Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 He was in court for a loads of stuff wasn't he? Well, when he turned up, Return of the Mack was the bollocks though. One of the most underrated tunes of all time. I still smash it out of ny car with the windows open in urban areas to this day. Most people don't know what the hell is happening but I will always get a few knowing looks from the cool kids. Definitely the most effective way to earn instant respect.
