lavrentis Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 We had to delete the last topic relating to her due to similar comments after the club complained. They have influence over this forum?
Captain... Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 I'm lost. The club makes a loss and is propped up by loans from the owners. If the owners pulled the plug we'd be on the brink of liquidation. That's hardly business genius. Can you explain how they can pull the plug? Or is this more baseless scaremongering?
indierich06 Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Can you explain how they can pull the plug? Or is this more baseless scaremongering? I'm going to go for the latter.
BunkMoreland Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 I work in marketing and pretty much every single marketing agency has some kind of award. I've no idea if this is similar, but you get nominations for an award by paying the company dishing out the award. Direct cash payments, mutually beneficial agreements, non-cash favours etc etc... This is purely a 'you scratch my back' type of deal and quite frankly I don't want to know what our Susan has done to get it.
ADK Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Well provided they don't get sack itchy and leave Pearson to get on with the job we should be ok, even then it won't be her interfering with the football side it's be the owners. Never good to get sack itchy. Especially with a women around.
davieG Posted 7 December 2012 Author Posted 7 December 2012 They have influence over this forum? Not as such but if people post legally dodgy stuff, which is what happen then I'm sure Mark prefers to be given the chance to remove it rather than be subjected to the law being involved.

That's interesting, amazed they can take enough notice to ask for things to come down but not get how angry people are over a lot of things the club does terribly.
1964FOX Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 So they complained about a negative thread about our Susan so that proves they must view this forum so they must know how much we go on about atmosphere at the ground. So why don't they take note and do something about it? To balance things however Susan did send me a personal reply to an E-mail I sent direct to her so I can't fault her for that.

I'd have thought it was par for the course for football clubs. I'm not surprised at all.

1964FOX Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Did you get all the pics you asked for? Yes enough to make a 2013 Calendar, April is my fave.
davieG Posted 7 December 2012 Author Posted 7 December 2012 Yes enough to make a 2013 Calendar, April is my fave. if it's anything like the usual LCFC calender she'll probably be gone by January.
1964FOX Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 if it's anything like the usual LCFC calender she'll probably be gone by January. Very true DavieG, my lad always used to say why are the old players in the calendars when we gave it him on Xmas Day.
Guest MattP Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Very true DavieG, my lad always used to say why are the old players in the calendars when we gave it him on Xmas Day. Same here, though it's usually because it's last year's and I bought it in the January sales earlier in the year.
The People's Hero Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Is this where we suggest summer signings? Jan Aage Fjortoft
Bert Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 I bet she doesn't ask for this topic to be deleted!
Mack Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Can you explain how they can pull the plug? Or is this more baseless scaremongering? Yes it's quite simple. They can decide they are bored / fed up / out of patience with us / football and quit. Leaving us in enormous debt to them that would be impossible to pay back unless a similar investor came in. Granted they would lose money by doing that, but they would'nt be the first overseas football club owners to cut their losses and run. Alternatively they could leave the debt from us to them as it is for us to pay back at 8% interest and sell off their other investment they have made in the club to a new buyer. This would be a more likely option if they decided they'd had enough.
Father Ted Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Great businesswoman, supporters coming back in their droves thanks to her genius pricing systems
Happy Fox Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Prices will always be high unless the club is planning on extending the stadium should we establish ourselves in the prem again and then allow affordable pricing we shall see I guess.
Alexikokopops Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Great businesswoman, supporters coming back in their droves thanks to her genius pricing systems Great business woman, the team doing better than it has since Mickey Adams
jonthefox Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 I understand she was instrumental in bringing pick and mix to the King power .

This would be a more likely option if they decided they'd had enough. It's not a job, they can't quit, they can stop pumping money, but they can't demand back the loan as they would be demanding it back off themselves. The only thing they could do is sell up, but they would need a buyer, or run the club into administration, where they would lose a hell of a lot of money and face a winding up order and it would have a knock on effect on their other business interests and damage their reputation. If they sell up, then so be it that is their right, but if they do sell up then they will want us to be in the best position possible to get the most money from the sale. I just don't understand this fear that a) they are going to get bored and run the club into the ground and b) that they actually can. There are regulations in place in business and in football, and it is getting harder to dangerously mismanage a club.
Dan Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 That's interesting, amazed they can take enough notice to ask for things to come down but not get how angry people are over a lot of things the club does terribly. Speaks immense volumes. What a weird award anyway.
