Bluetintedspecs Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Lets not forget that in his 3 games for us he's faced: Huddersfield, Burton, and Bristol City. 3 very poor sides. You still have to take your chances though and the lad sure has done that!
RonnieTodger Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 No offence intended to our marsupial cousins, but the couple of Ozzie players we have had at Leicester haven't pulled up any trees. Zelko Kalac - looked like a tree with the same positional awareness. Steve Corica - looked decent for a bit but left early for the 'big time'* with Mark McGhee. Can't think of any others. * bummed around in the second tier while we were in Europe and the Prem. Paul Henderson & Patrick Kisnorbo were decent, to be fair.
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 It's official! I have a little bit of 'man love' for Chris Wood..
Ashley Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Someone do a photoshopped picture of Chris Wood in Woodys outfit from Toy Story please.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 I have a soft spot for WBA - they seem really "proper" and Frank Skinner is a huge fan so I always root for them when MOTD's on. Cheers for the bargain!
Bluetintedspecs Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 It's official! I have a little bit of 'man love' for Chris Wood.. Yep dont know if I'm Arthur or Martha over Woodsy either mate
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Yep dont know if I'm Arthur or Martha over Woodsy either mate Call me old fashioned mate but I'm as impressed with how he presents at interview as his on-field performances. He absolutely seems to have his head well and truly screwed on. SO refreshing after all the Beckford moody nonsense we had to suffer last season.

sdb Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Lloyd is still regarded with massive affection at The Albion. He was genuinely the quickest player I have ever seen. Ridiculously fast. It was shame he didn't always take the ball with him but a real nice guy and a threat on his day. THat cracked me up. So true.

Deucalion Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Paul Henderson & Patrick Kisnorbo were decent, to be fair. Yeah, they were. I'd forgotten about Henderson and is Kisnorbo Australian? That managed to pass me by somehow.

Bluetintedspecs Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 David Oldfield!!!! Skippy was entertaining!
Deucalion Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 David Oldfield is development coach at West Brom apparently. He was also caretaker manager of Peterborough for one game in 2011. And there's me imagining him soaking up the sun in Bondi Beach or summat.! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Oldfield_(footballer)
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 Yeah, they were. I'd forgotten about Henderson and is Kisnorbo Australian? That managed to pass me by somehow. Yeah he is so was Weslowski and Cisak the ex goalie. To be fair with Spider Kalac did manage to get himself a decent career and play close to 40 games for AC Milan including champions league football and about 80 for Peruggia in the Serie A.
foxile5 Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 Yeah he is so was Weslowski and Cisak the ex goalie. Always thought Weslowski would make the grade. He seemed like he had a bright future ahead of him. I remember he scored a bit of a screamer away at Fulham in the cup. Plays at Peterborough now, if I'm not mistaken
Fox92 Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 I seem to recall Albion saying they were considering offers before the start of the season. Rated Wood since seeing him play against us, he has progressed with his loan spells at Birmingham and Millwall. Great signing, great player who has the ability to hold the ball up and score, as well as being decent in the air.
surrifox Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 excellent. Are you sure that's Woody and not james Scowcroft- they look alarmingly similar? (oops should have been the photoshop)
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 excellent. Are you sure that's Woody and not james Scowcroft- they look alarmingly similar? (oops should have been the photoshop) Damn that's just spoilt my day, why did you have to bring camel face into things ????
Finnegan Posted 14 January 2013 Posted 14 January 2013 Skippy has served us very well at Masters level!!
